"Sweater" Prospects Are Still Optimistic.

This year, under the influence of various unfavorable factors at home and abroad, China's economy is facing a major test. So what are the difficulties we are facing today, which means that China's economy has entered a recession track or an adjustment in the rising trend?

How should we grasp the true pulse of China's economy?

How many small and medium-sized enterprises will be unable to survive and close down?

How many manufacturing workers will be laid off?

With these questions, our correspondent went to the two bases of the most influential Chinese textile export to conduct in-depth investigations to see reporter Liu Yuchen's report on Pu Yuan Town, Tongxiang, Zhejiang, known as China's woolen sweater capital.

Is the enterprise of "Chinese woolen sweater" bankrupt because of this unprecedented difficulty?

Puyuan Town, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, as the birthplace of "Pu silk" and one of the five famous towns in the south of Yangtze River, was once famous for its "sunrise 10000 silk". At present, the famous textile town has attracted more than 4000 textile enterprises and more than 6000 merchants at home and abroad to become the largest distributing center for sweaters in China and abroad. All the domestic and foreign textile industry can make waves here. When entering Tongxiang, almost all textile operators first talked to reporters about the winter of this industry.

Hu Qian, general manager of Zhejiang Fenglin linen dyeing and finishing Co., Ltd.: "textile industry is indeed a kind of cold winter, and we expect this cold winter and there will be such a phenomenon within one to two years."

Sun Libo, deputy general manager of HLC group Bosen dyeing and dyeing Co., Ltd.: "for the first time in history, it is the first time that this business has been economically difficult to this extent."

Huang Rurong, sales manager of Baima knitted garment factory in Tongxiang, Zhejiang. "One of the main factors affecting the price of raw materials is labor cost."

Sun Libo: "the exchange rate changes, the exchange rate adjustment of the US dollar and the renminbi, the depreciation of the US dollar, and the increase in the cost of labor in all aspects of energy now have caused great pressure on the enterprises."

Zhou Xiaotian, general manager of Zhejiang new Australia textile Limited by Share Ltd, "the estimate of the subprime mortgage crisis in the United States was originally underestimated, and now it feels relatively long."

Most of the textile operators interviewed believe that the four factors, such as the falling demand in the international market, the appreciation of the RMB against the US dollar, the rise in the price of raw materials and the rising cost of labor, have brought the Chinese textile industry into an unprecedented predicament. Then, is there any enterprise falling down in this predicament?

Sun Libo: "there are many businesses in Guangdong, including Jiangsu, closed down and closed down."

Huang Huang Rong: "as far as I know, like the Taizhou area and Wenzhou area, some businessmen have been thrown into the mining industry since they quit."

From all sides, the news about colleagues or shutting down or changing business has gathered in the courtyard, so that there is a glimmer of embleme everywhere. This has made the textile operators of the woolen sweater somewhat shudder. So, have thousands of businesses and businesses in Pu Yuan have failed or closed?

Huang Rurong: "I don't know exactly."

When reporters interviewed, none of the operators had heard of any textile enterprise in the town of Pu Yuan, but the party secretary of the Pu Yuan town answered the reporter's question about whether there was a business failure.

Zhu Mingjie, Secretary of Pu Yuan Town, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province: "so far, no one in our Pu Yuan Garden has collapsed or has been shut down."

Zhu Mingjie told reporters that since Pu Yuan has formed the characteristic textile industrial cluster of sweaters, the textile enterprises stationed in Pu Yuan town have increased significantly every year, but the growth rate slowed down after 2008. However, the number of enterprises registered is still increasing. Even in the most difficult 1-8 months of this year, the textile enterprises in the park still increased by 20.

Zhu Mingjie: "it should be said that since the second half of last year, the entire textile industry has been under the pressure of the whole economic change at home and abroad, and the momentum of the whole growth is obviously slowing down. But for Pu Yuan, the whole enterprise in our park should say that the change is not great."

From the survey of Tongxiang business and taxation department, the textile industry is not cold this winter. In Zhejiang Pu Yuan Town, many textile enterprises have been closed down, but the leaders of Pu Yuan town told reporters that no local textile enterprise went bankrupt this year. On the contrary, the number of enterprises in the production Park continued to increase. Is the rumour in the society wrong or is the Department deliberately evading this question? What is the state of the local textile industry?

Our correspondent has launched a more extensive investigation into Tongxiang, which belongs to the town of Pu Yuan.

In the interview, most of the respondents believe that since the second half of last year, textile enterprises have encountered unprecedented difficulties. Then, in Tongxiang city of Zhejiang Province, is the textile enterprise in a dilemma? Is there a large number of failures or closures?

Tongxiang city commerce and Industry Bureau has obtained such figures after statistics.

Lu Jinfu, director of the Bureau of Commerce and industry of Tongxiang, Zhejiang Province, said: "in the first half of this year, the whole textile industry in Tongxiang should start from the angle of production enterprises, and 98 new businesses should be opened, and 58 of them will be cancelled."

Reporter: "then, if there is a balance between the two, there will be 40 increments. What are the reasons for the cancellation of these enterprises?"

Lu Lu Jin Fu: "from the perspective of industrial and commercial registration, it is a normal change from the perspective of industrial and commercial registration." from this year's perspective, it may be related to the situation of macroeconomic regulation and control, and the limited competitive power of some enterprises in our whole scale.

Secretary Lu gave reporters a set of figures in the same period last year as a comparison: in the first half of 2007, 65 textile enterprises were cancelled in the first half of 2007, and 116 new businesses were opened up. After the cancellation of the two new businesses, 51 Enterprises in Tongxiang increased by 116. Compared with the net increase of 51 in the same period last year, the number of enterprises increased by 40 in the first half of this year. The change is not very big. Only a slight increase in the number of enterprises has slowed down. Therefore, it can be regarded as the normal interest rate of the enterprises.

Lu Lu Jin Fu: "scale enterprises, we have a caliber in Tongxiang, is above 5 million yuan output value, then our textile enterprise is big, so small relative scale is relatively small, in the cancellation of the above scale enterprises, should be."

This is the statistics of the whole city of Tongxiang. Therefore, the town of Pu Yuan, which occupies half of the textile industry in Tongxiang, has not seen a collapse of a large scale enterprise. After a statistical comparison, the Secretary of land has come to this conclusion on the current situation of Tongxiang's textile industry.

Lu Lu Jin Fu: "from the reflection of our business registration figures, I personally believe that the overall operation of Tongxiang's textile industry in the first half of this year is comparable to that of the same period last year, or that it should be relatively stable compared with the previous years, and there is no big fluctuation."

That is to say, from the statistics of the Bureau of industry and commerce, the textile industry in Tongxiang is not as cold as the outside legend. So what is the change in the tax accomplishment of Tongxiang textile enterprises in the most difficult 2008 of the textile industry?

Zhao Hongliang, director of the Inland Revenue Department of the Tongxiang Municipal Finance Bureau, Zhejiang, said: "in the first half of last year, the tax revenue of our textile industry was five hundred and thirty million, which is six hundred and thirty million this year, or one hundred million. Last year, compared with the previous year, it increased by more than 20%. In the first half of this year, compared with the first half of last year, the growth rate increased by more than 19%, that is, the increase was down 1 percentage points and slightly slowed down."

The director of Tongxiang's two departments of Local Taxation and finance is cautiously optimistic about the trend of Tongxiang's textile industry in the following months.

Zhao Hongliang: "we predict that we will continue to grow."

Director Zhao said that if Tongxiang's textile industry suffered large losses or slipped, he would be too anxious to sleep. For the difficulties of the textile industry in the city, the Secretary of the Tongxiang Municipal Committee gave reporters such a position.

Fei Jianwen, Secretary of the Tongxiang municipal Party committee of Zhejiang Province, said: "since last year, we should say that from the market and the current situation of our textile industry, we have encountered some difficulties. This is similar to that of the whole country and our Zhejiang province. Our Tongxiang view is due to the change of exchange rate, the increase of enterprise production costs and the increase of financial expenses, which has a certain impact on the profitability of enterprises. However, from the analysis of our entire textile enterprises, there has not been a large area, or the collapse of these large enterprises above this scale has not been generated. Now it should be said that the production and operation of our textile enterprises is still normal."

What is the reason why these enterprises in winter can still remain optimistic?

From the survey of the industry and taxation department of Tongxiang city just now, the local textile industry's experience in this cold current is not as bad as the rumors outside. Although the growth rate of the textile industry has slowed down this year, the growth is still strong. However, the statistics are abstract after all. How do the local textile enterprises in Tongxiang view the current business difficulties? How do they judge whether the future trend will be better or worse?
