A Shop In Yuanzhou Abuses The Olympic Logo For Alleged Infringement

Recently, a letter from the Legal Affairs Department of the twenty-ninth Olympic Organizing Committee was sent to the industrial and commercial bureau of Yuanzhou District, Yichun.

The letter fully affirmed the practice of the Bureau in protecting the Olympic symbols and investigating violations in accordance with the law. It also confirmed the violation of the exclusive rights of the Olympic logo in the men's clothing store in the west of Yuanzhou district.

According to the briefing, on the eve of the Olympic Games opening ceremony, the law enforcement officers of Yuanzhou industrial and commercial bureau received a mass report from the masses, and immediately rushed to the west city men's clothing store in Zhongshan Road, Yichun city. They found two large advertisements posted in their windows.

An advertisement says: "wear the national brand to support the Beijing Olympic Games"; the other is marked with the Olympic rings, with the words "LIETUVA (Note: Lithuania) Olympic sports equipment exclusive supplier".

After asking the owner Huang Mou, the law enforcement officer learned that his shop was selling "Kang Tai" brand sports series produced by Fujian Jinjiang Kang Tai shoes and Clothing Co., Ltd.

The above two advertisements are just for sale in the name of the Olympic Games without any basis.

In order to be safe, the Yuanzhou industrial and commercial bureau sent a letter to the Legal Affairs Department of the twenty-ninth Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games.

In the letter of September 8th, the Ministry has proved that the Olympic Games, the Beijing Olympic Games and the Olympic rings are all Olympic symbols protected by the regulations on the protection of Olympic symbols. The LI-ETUVA (Lithuania) Olympic Committee has suspended the sponsorship agreement with Kang Tai Company since April 1, 2008, and the company is no longer related to the Lithuania Olympic Committee.

The International Olympic Committee and the twenty-ninth Olympic Organizing Committee did not allow any producers and sellers of the sports shoes and shoes of Kang Tai brand to advertise in the Chinese territory with the names of the LIETUVA Olympic Games, the Olympic Games, the Beijing Olympic Games and the Olympic rings.

Accordingly, the industrial and commercial bureau of Yuanzhou district has recently investigated and dealt with the infringement of the royal clothing store in Yuanzhou district.
