Ningbo'S Textile And Garment Exports Have Made A Good Start In The First Month Of The New Year.

According to the statistics of Ningbo customs, in January 2009, the export of Ningbo textile and apparel (including textile yarn, fabrics and products, clothing and accessories) was 820 million US dollars, up 1.8% from the same period (the same below), an increase of 0.2% over the same period, continuing the growth momentum since last December.

Last year, the export rebate rate of some textile and garment products gradually increased from 11% to 14%. Thanks to this, Ningbo's textile and garment exports continued to pick up.

Statistics show that the export of textiles, yarns, fabrics and products in Ningbo in the new year January was 250 million US dollars, a decrease of 15.7%, and the export of garments and accessories reached US $570 million, an increase of 11.8%.

Exports to major markets increased significantly, including exports to the European Union for us $270 million, exports to the United States for us $110 million, and export to Japan for us $100 million, with an increase of 8.6%, 14.5% and 21.8% respectively.

It is learnt that, in order to ensure steady growth of textile and clothing exports, in February 4th, the state launched the adjustment and revitalization plan for the textile industry and equipment manufacturing industry.

Since last year, the export rebate rate of textile and garment has been raised for the third time, and the textile industry has been vigorously supported through new textile special investment, credit support from financial difficulties enterprises, and credit guarantee and financing services provided by guarantee institutions.
