EU Issued New Regulations On Textile Environmental Labels

First, the scope of limited products was expanded: textile and clothing and accessories, indoor textiles, products containing non fiber components (such as zippers and buttons), and fabric products used for cleaning or drying surfaces were included in the coverage, but disposable products, floor coverings, clothing, fabrics and fibers containing electrical installations were excluded.

Secondly, the restricted use of harmful chemicals is stipulated: the limit of highly concerned substances in the list of candidate substances is listed emphatically, and the environmental criteria that should be observed in the process of textile production and processing are also specified.
