Tai Tong Textile Industry Complex Settled

The great Tong Industrial Park will build a textile industrial complex. I learned from the Datang Town Economic Promotion Bureau of Sanshui District recently that a textile complex is being planned and designed. At the end of September, the Datang Industrial Park signed an agreement with the Cci Capital Ltd of Southern China Textile Innovation and Technology Park, Sanshui District, to sell about 110 acres of land in the industrial park, and to build a textile industrial complex with research and development, testing, production, training and sales in two phases.

The total investment of the project is about 300 million yuan, and its construction area is about 120 thousand square meters. It consists of workshop, office building, R & D center, testing center, exhibition hall and incubation base. According to the relevant agreements signed by the land sold, the project will be put into operation in 2 years. It is expected that the direct output value will be 500 million yuan and the tax payment 25 million.

Compared with output value and tax, Datang Industrial Park hopes that the project will promote the transformation and upgrading of textile industry in the park. "Simply speaking, it is extending to both ends of the industrial chain." Liu Zhaowen, deputy director of the Economic Promotion Bureau of Datang Town, said.

Liu Zhaowen introduced that the textile enterprises in Datang Industrial Park mainly produce and process, and are weak in R & D and marketing links, and there is less communication between enterprises. It is hoped that after the entry of the project, the existing enterprises in the park can be integrated, the development of Baotuan can be realized, and there will be breakthroughs in the field of R & D and sales.

"Southern China Textile Innovation and Technology Park project feasibility report" revealed that the project partners include Donghua University, Guangdong clothing and apparel industry association and other schools and associations. It also mentioned that the project will set up the "textile headquarters Business School" to train enterprises in urgent need of research, design and sales personnel.

In addition, the project can meet the needs of textile enterprises in the park for testing. Liu Zhaowen said that there is only one organization with testing qualification in the park, which can not meet the needs of enterprises.

For the investors of the textile industry complex, the feasibility report of the Southern China Textile Innovation and Technology Park revealed that the location, transportation and industrial foundation of Datang town are its main attraction. Guang four line, Qinglong line and Zhujiang outer ring expressway and Tangxi road are passing through. After the completion of the Zhuhai outer ring expressway, there are two entrances and exits in Datang. At that time, the Datang Industrial Park will be shortened to 35 minutes by the Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.

It has been 10 years since the first textile enterprise entered the Datang Industrial Park. The park has formed a certain textile industry foundation and the supporting facilities of the park have been improved correspondingly. Liu Zhaowen said that at present, it already owns a sewage treatment plant with a daily handling capacity of 76 thousand tons and a thermoelectric plant with a daily steam supply of 3500 tons. Under the pressure of environmental protection, all these supporting facilities are the attraction of the park to the textile industry.

Most of the textile industry in Sanshui district is located in Datang Town, and the textile industry is also a pillar industry in Datang town. It is reported that there are 67 textile enterprises in Datang Town, all located in the industrial park of Datang. In 2013, the textile enterprises achieved industrial output value of 9 billion 162 million yuan, accounting for 36.8% of the industrial output value of the park, and 126 million yuan of tax paid, accounting for 46.8% of the total corporate tax revenue in the park.

However, Tai Tong has not yet grown into a textile professional town. Although these textile enterprises have a certain scale, these enterprises are mainly driven by monomer production, and lack of leading projects.

In addition, most textile enterprises in the park only make a processing procedure of textile, with short industrial chain and low added value. "Printing is only printing, weaving is only weaving, spinning is only spinning, not the whole industry chain together to do business." Liu Zhaowen, deputy director of the Economic Promotion Bureau of Datang Town, said.

The current situation of the industrial structure decides that the enterprises' ability to resist risks is poor, and that the textile enterprises in the park will face the shuffle, which is to eliminate some of the textile enterprises with high pollution, high energy consumption and low output. The pressure will be even greater after the new environmental protection law is implemented in January 1st, Liu Zhaowen said.

Cotton prices have dropped steeply this year. Unlike other industries, the decline in raw material prices means loss to textile processing enterprises. "Textile enterprises will hoard cotton to ensure the supply of raw materials, while cotton prices will fall, and the price of cotton yarn will decrease. The cotton yarn woven from the original cotton purchased at high price will form a price upside down." Liu Zhaowen explained.

Environmental protection, since the end of last year, the Datang Industrial Park has made many efforts, including coal to steam, sewage pipe transformation, stereotype machine transformation and so on. Relying on the thermal power plant and sewage treatment plant in the park, the unified supply of steam and sewage treatment has been achieved in the park.

It is noteworthy that the textile industry of Datang town mostly came from the industrial transfer of textile industries such as Zhangcha and Xiqiao. According to rough statistics, the textile enterprises from Zhangcha alone accounted for 30% of the total number of textile enterprises in Tai Tang, and the investors of Southern China Textile Innovation and technology park were also from Zhangcha's two enterprises.
