Beckham Launches Personal Brand To Overcome Clothing Limitation
The Global Brands Group Holding Ltd., which was spun out of Hongkong's 00494.HK group in July this year, announced that it will set up a joint venture with retired football star David Beckham and American reality TV American Idol producer Simon Fuller, promoting the consumption of consumer brands in the world with the goal of building the world's largest brand.
"The reason why the three parties join hands is to make the brand go global, so it will appear in all parts of the world, including Asia, Europe and the United States." Le Yumin, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Li Biao brand, said.
Le Yumin pointed out that the brand includes different categories of products, not only limited to Sportswear , Underwear And men's clothing, and positioning is not in luxury consumer goods. The cooperative brand owns 50% stake in the joint venture company, and the remaining 50% are owned by David Beckham and Simon Fuller. Le Yumin declined to disclose the relevant figures of investment, and the group had no need to raise funds for the time being.
In addition, the conference also announced that it would cooperate with more sports entertainment stars to launch other brands in the future, but did not disclose specific plans.
This is not the first collaboration between Simon Fuller and David Beckham. As a former agent of the Spice Girls spice girls group, he is also currently planning the business of "Beckham family".
