Interview With Xu Wenying, President Of China Filament Weaving Association

Growth, stability, slowing down, innovation driven development

"Last year, the filament weaving industry experienced a steady development and slow growth trend. The enterprises have worked hard together to tackle difficulties, and have met a series of challenges. The industry has gained more experience in continuous exploration."

In January 2014 ~11, the main business income of China's chemical fiber filament weaving industry totaled 82 billion 600 million yuan, an increase of 3.16 percentage points over the same period, with a total profit of 3 billion 700 million yuan, an increase of 10.23% over the same period last year.

The profit rate of chemical fiber filament weaving industry was 4.51%, an increase of 0.29 percentage points over the same period last year.

These figures represent the development process of the filament weaving industry in the past year. Although some enterprises are facing difficulties in inventory backlog, the problem of insufficient market demand for consumption has always existed. However, enterprises can strive for broader market space if they only use innovative spirit to drive development.

Last year, many enterprises achieved remarkable results through the introduction of equipment and technological renovation.

Great breakthrough has been made in the development and production of high imitation cotton knitted fabrics, microfiber cold resistant fabrics, and so on.

The computer jacquard and dobby opening equipment increased, and the blowing machine, automatic wear machine, and pulp combine machine began to be popularized. The application of ERP information system in production, office, sales and other links is gradually expanding.

In addition to the equipment, the innovation of product development is mainly reflected in the structural adjustment of filament weaving products. The company vigorously develops new products of differential, functional and high simulation, especially on the high imitation cotton products, and the interwoven, large floral, silk fine-grained and wide size long yarn dyed jacquard high-grade fabrics are welcomed by the market.

Pollution caused by the textile industry has always been a problem of great concern in the industry. In recent years, the concept of low-carbon environmental protection has been increasing. As a percentage of the textile industry, the filament weaving industry has also made many environmental initiatives.

Xu Wenying said that last year, silk weaving enterprises vigorously promoted new technologies such as water jet loom wastewater reuse, air-jet looms energy saving and consumption reduction, waste heat utilization, LED lamps and other energy-saving and emission reduction technologies, developed innovative weaving preparation techniques, and strive to reduce sewage discharge in the production process of filament fabrics, improve energy utilization level, vigorously develop green recycling economy, and promote sustainable development of industries.

For example, water jet looms, weaving by water spray technology instead of traditional shuttle, bring more convenient and efficient production environment to enterprises, but at the same time, it also brings pollution problems. Facing this problem, filament weaving enterprises choose environmentally friendly treatment methods, recycling with recycling technology and professional sewage treatment technology to achieve environmental development standards.

Looking forward to this year, the filament weaving association is still trying to carefully plan for the development of the whole industry, Xu Wenying said, this year, we will carry out the fourth batch of "China chemical fiber filament fabric quality production base" evaluation work, and plan to carry out the "China filament weaving industry innovation demonstration base" of the selection and recommendation activities.

We have completed the appraisal work of the national top quality award for 2015 filament fabrics. We held the annual 2015 annual conference of China's chemical fiber filament fabric product development, the technical innovation and innovation seminar of the filament weaving industry in 2015, and the conference of China's new fabric conference in 2015. We finished the work of ranking the top 50 economic achievements of China's filament weaving industry in 2014.

Xu Wenying analyzed: "the price of oil will drop, the price of raw materials will fluctuate, the expected prices of downstream enterprises will be reduced, and trade sales will be restricted by the upstream market, which will ultimately affect the sales profits of enterprises."

At present, many small and medium-sized enterprises even begin to slow down the pace of development, hoping to reduce production and continue to develop their lives.

"High inventory is a common phenomenon in today's industry. The market is very urgent in adjusting the industrial structure, optimizing and improving the added value of products and improving the technology of equipment.

However, enterprises should maintain a steady state of mind and control from adjusting the industrial structure, optimizing product quality, innovating products, improving production and processing technology, and so on.

In fact, the silk fabric enterprises that are really good at innovating and ensuring quality have been in short supply.

Xu Wenying said that in the new year, we hope to connect the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain through various kinds of conference activities, stimulate market vitality, help enterprises strive for better policies and promote the comprehensive development of the filament weaving industry.

In the face of fierce market competition, chemical fiber filament weaving enterprises should innovate and drive new products, upgrade and upgrade the equipment development and upstream and downstream industrial chains, and actively cooperate with colleges and universities, and research and enrich the fabric functionality through product innovation, and increase the added value of products.
