Announcement Of The Second LVMH Youth Designer Competition
The list of the second LVMH youth designers competition is announced. The winner is the Portuguese designers who are less than 30 years old, two people Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, two people have a brand Marques "Almeida women's clothing brand".
In May 22nd, the French luxury goods giant LVMH's brand designers gathered in the LV foundation. The jury finally decided to award 300 thousand euros (2 million 47 thousand yuan) bonus plus one year's expert counselling to Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida.
Similar to the previous first session, the jury is composed of Karl Lagerfeld (Fendi), Marc Jacobs, Nicolas Ghesqui re re (LV), Raf Simons (Dior), Jo (E), JE (H) and Jo (H).
Like the first prize winner Thomas Tait, the two group of Portuguese designers also graduated from the Saint Martin School of art in London, specializing in the design of women's wear, and the stylist godmother Louise Wilson. The brand has a total of five employees. In the first quarter, it was sold by the famous buyer shop Opening Ceremony and Joyce. The distribution network gradually expanded to 85 stores and sold to London, New York, Losangeles, Portland, Hongkong, Korea, Russia and Australia.

In addition to Marques'Almeida, the designer brand Simon Porte Jacquemus from Paris won the jury's special award: a prize of 150 thousand euros and a one year coach from LVMH's senior tutor.
But what's the advantage of winning the LVMH prize? The first winner, Thomas Tait, told CNN in March this year: "LVMH is like a huge high-power machine. For young designers, it's easy to see a situation, that is, I have many rules to abide by, and they have some realistic expectations for my future development."
He believes that the group's designation of VP or director as a personal mentor is the biggest benefit of the competition.

But Thomas Tait also revealed one thing. When he won the prize, LVMH told him that it was the first time that we had done such a thing and we were not entirely sure how to do it, so we and you were learning from each other.
