The United States is the largest consumer market of outdoor leisure products in the world. The OutdoorRetailer (OR) outdoor products exhibition held in Salt Lake City, USA, is held two times a year, which is divided into winter exhibitions and summer exhibitions.

Last year, a total of over 40 sets of cloth samples from Taiwan exhibitors were selected to show in the image area of the conference, which fully demonstrated the international competitive advantage of Taiwan functional textiles.
In January this year, the OR winter exhibition held a total of 29 textile producers and 2 public accounting 39 booths. The participants were all well-known textile mills in Taiwan, including: Far East new century, Li Peng, Xue Changxing, South Asia, Fu Tai, Datong, Xinguang textile, Jisheng and other companies.
High quality supply chain manufacturers gathered together to play a strong leading publicity effect, successfully attracting buyers to visit the Taiwan Pavilion, and successfully set up the "search for innovative technology and products will visit Taiwan Pavilion" image.
According to the survey, nearly 500 buyers visited the site and estimated $300 thousand on the spot, which will create about 7 million business opportunities.
During the exhibition, TheNorthFace, Abercrombie&Fitch, PoloRalphLauren, FOX, Frank&Oak, Yummie, OutdoorCap, ARIAT, SecondSkin and other brand representatives were attracted to search for the latest products.
Generally speaking, functional textiles have the characteristics of "invisible, untouched and used to know". Buyers and consumers are not easy to distinguish the quality of products from the appearance and touch of products directly, resulting in such products being unable to fully display their functionality in marketing promotion.
Since 2000, Taiwan textile and Development Association has actively planned and promoted the verification of TaiwanFunctionalTextiles (TFT) in Taiwan. At present, there are 20 testing standards for functional textiles.
Anyone who has passed the certification can apply for the certification badge to the Textile Development Association. The functional textile verification badge has been registered in mainland China and Taiwan, the United States, the European Union, Japan and Vietnam, and the textile & amp; Crafts Association has also been promoting functional textiles in the international key markets to further assist the developers in developing the international market.
