Among them, due to the continuous downturn in international market demand, the rapid rise in the cost of comprehensive factors in the domestic market and other factors, China's textile industry shows a general trend of sustained slowdown in growth.

Statistics show that since the second quarter of 2015, China's total export of textiles and clothing has continued to show a negative growth trend, and the decline in the third quarter has deepened. From January to August, the total export has dropped by 4.5%, showing a trend of both volume and price decline. From January to August, the export price fell 1.3% year on year, and the export volume fell 3.2% year on year.

Yao Mu said that as a major textile country in the world, China's entire textile industry has entered a new economic normal, which is affected by both global economic factors and high costs. In recent years, the cost of China's manufacturing industry has risen significantly, not only higher than that of Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and other regions, but also up to about 95% of the cost of the U.S. manufacturing industry.

For now, China's textile industry faces four high costs. The first is labor cost. At present, the labor cost of China's textile industry is one of the highest in the world.
