The Indonesian Textile Association Will Determine Its Specific Economic Stimulus Plan.
The government called for Indonesia's textile industry to implement a number of economic stimulus plans aimed at enhancing national competitiveness so as to work out free trade agreements with other countries.

Ade Sudrajat, chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association, believes that although the association agrees with the 10 economic stimulus plans announced by the government, the implementation of these plans needs a more efficient way.
"These plans deserve our attention, not only because they are formulated for enterprises, but also because they can be realized on land."
Ade said at a news conference in Jakarta.
The government's third economic stimulus plan stipulates that the price of industrial electricity needs to be lowered at 11 a.m. to second a.m. at 8 a.m.
But the textile industry and the state power company have different interpretations of this regulation.
According to the description of the state electric power company, the electricity price reduction policy is only aimed at those companies that exceed the average daily electricity consumption.
However, the textile industry believes that the policy of reducing electricity consumption should be distinguished according to a specific period of time rather than by the usual power consumption.
"We request further discussions with the power companies, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of economic co ordination," Chet said.
He also said that in addition to the electricity tariff, the textile industry association also applied for the privilege of using lower price natural gas.

Benny Soetrisno, an investment adviser of the textile association, supports the economic stimulus plan that can bring a lot of business benefits.
But he also pointed out that because of the high cost of electricity and natural gas prices, local products are becoming less competitive.
Benny also said that the Indonesian and European Union's comprehensive European Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the US led p Pacific Partnership (TPP) will expand the Indonesian textile and textile peripheral products.
