Under such industry background, the development of garment design industry presents the following characteristics: first, the reform of supply side structure highlights the importance of design innovation.

In his report, Liu Yang pointed out that with the development of the clothing industry from a labor-intensive and extensive style to the brand building and knowledge intensive industry of subdivision, specialization and cooperation, Guangdong's fashion designers are growing and gradually becoming mature, and more than 1/4 designers in China are gathered in Guangdong.

As of 2015, a total of 38 designers in Guangdong rated "China top ten fashion designers", and the 9 were awarded the "Golden Summit Award", the highest honor of Chinese fashion design.

At the same time, a group of "top ten fashion designers in Guangdong" has been selected every year. At present, a total of 150 top ten fashion designers in Guangdong have been selected for the 15 time.

In his report, Liu Yang frankly stated that with the development of the garment industry in Guangdong Province, the demand for talents has been more subdivided and more professional, such as buyers, fabric designers, accessories designers, color matching designers, graphic designers and other professionals.

In particular, private customization has become a hot word in the fashion industry. This will lead to a combination of talents from quantity, selection, printing, sample making, sample fitting, customer service, and so on. However, complex customized service talents who know design, plate making and production are in short supply in the market, and will be the important direction of talent cultivation in the next stage.

Liu Yang also said that at present, there are still some problems in the fashion design industry in Guangdong, for example, the designer team is "green and thin". The active stage is still dominated by senior designers, and young designers' performance in the industry stage needs to be strengthened, especially in Guangdong.

The industrial atmosphere has not yet formed. From the designer itself to the clothing enterprises to the government, there is no sense of creating a fashionable atmosphere. This leads to the poor soil of the clothing designers. Compared with Beijing and Shanghai, which are now making great efforts to build the fashion industry, Guangdong's clothing design industry has been overtaken by the crisis.

The General Assembly elected the director, President, executive chairman, executive vice president and vice president of the fourth member congress.

The nomination of the new president, executive chairman, executive vice president and Council nominee of the association is in accordance with the relevant regulations of the provincial Civil Affairs Department, and based on the actual situation of the clothing design industry in Guangdong Province, and through the democratic consultation and democratic recommendation of the designer's representative.
