Haining Leather Industry Actively Explores The Operation Mode Of "Alliance Standardization"

Leather industry is a characteristic traditional industry in Zhejiang Province, especially in Haining area.

The industry is the most outstanding. The output value of leather industry accounts for 1/3 of the total industrial economy of Haining. The trade volume of leather products of Haining Leather City in China accounts for about 1/4 of the world's total. The Haining leather industry cluster has been designated by the provincial government as the 42 block economic pformation and upgrading demonstration area to the modern industrial cluster.

With the promotion of environmental requirements and the promotion of five water management, tanning industry is facing the bottleneck of sustainable development. It is imperative and urgent to use standardized means to reduce pollutants, waste resources and clean production technology in leather industry.

In recent years, the leather industry in Haining has actively explored the operation mode of "alliance standardization", making the alliance standard a bridge for the pformation of advanced scientific and technological achievements into productive forces, thus promoting the overall quality of leather industry.

The Haining Leather Research Institute, as a window for the external relations of leather enterprises, insists on the technical standards formulated and popularized in the direction of enterprise needs, playing a leading role in the leather industry pformation.

Since 2011, the Institute has pformed scientific and technological achievements into alliance standards on the basis of the implementation of science and technology projects. It has taken the lead in formulating the technical specifications for the recovery of chromium from tanning chrome tanning wastewater, the technical specification for the recovery of chromium rich sludge from tanning agents, the technical specification for the collection and storage of chromium containing slag, the technical standard for the control of odor in tanning wastewater treatment sites, the technical requirements for the collection and utilization of tannery waste, and the independent evaluation standard of leather processing senior workers, etc., and has been applied in the alliance enterprises for 6 years.

Income has increased substantially.

The amount of pollutants discharged from tannery wastewater decreased significantly. The amount of CODcr in wastewater decreased from 0.71 tons per 10000 tons in 2013 to 0.58 tons / million. The implementation of the standard promoted the quality, integrity and pformation of industry, enhanced the competitiveness of enterprises, and made leather technicians more reasonable in gradient.

The quality has been significantly improved, cleaner production technology has been significantly improved, and the target of sewage discharge and pollutant reduction in tanning industry has been realized.

In order to further use standardized means to speed up the popularization and application of the advanced technology and management methods of leather recycling economy and to enhance the construction of standardized talents, the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau has supported the Haining Leather Research Institute's project of "standardization of the leather industry's circular economy".

On the one hand, the project will publicize and promote the mature technology and products in the enterprise, take the lead in forming the alliance standard; on the other hand, guide the tannery enterprises to actively declare the local standards, industry standards and national standard projects, so as to establish a circular economy standard system supplemented by local standards, alliance standards and enterprise standards based on national standards and industry standards.
