Since 2016, some export orders have been designated to replace high quality Vietnamese yarn with India yarn. The proportion of printed yarn imports to China will gradually shrink to 25%, 20% or even lower.

The quality and stability of cotton yarn is superior to that of other countries in Southeast Asia and Central Asia, leaving only one advantage of "strong supply capability".

For the current order "short, flat, fast" features, Vietnam, Indonesia and Uzbekistan and other countries can fully meet the needs of Chinese enterprises.

Compared to India and Pakistan cotton yarn, Vietnam cotton mill mainly used "no three silk" cotton, Brazil cotton and West Africa cotton, Central Asia cotton, cotton grading and yarn indexes are even or even stronger than India yarn.

With the expansion and investment of Chinese enterprises in Vietnam, the level of equipment has increased rapidly, and about 80% of cotton yarn has returned to domestic sales. The quality of C21-C40S, JC21, JC32SA yarn bleaching, air-jet yarn and compact spinning has left most of India's cotton mills behind. But Vietnam's cotton mill generally has 1-3 spindles (less than 5-10 million spindles), which restricts the ability of receiving and exporting.

Three, compared with Vietnamese textile enterprises, India's yarn needs to be improved in terms of pportation, contract execution and reputation.

Factories such as Jiangsu and Zhejiang indicated that only a week or so was needed to import cotton yarn from Vietnam (part of the newly built and expanded cotton mill in Vietnam), and the shipping and insurance premiums were also lower. Moreover, large scale enterprises such as Vietnam and Uzbekistan had relatively good reputation (limited domestic weaving capacity and high dependence on cotton yarn export). The contract execution ability and quality claims were obviously better than those of some India and Pakistan mills.
