Zhang Rong thanked the Chinese Academy of Sciences for its support for the carbon fiber engineering and technology research center of Shandong University for a long time.
He said that Shandong University carbon fiber engineering technology research center is the provincial engineering technology research center. After more than 20 years of development, the center has established a strong research team with Professor Wang Chengguo and Professor Zhu Bo as academic leaders, and formed a complete "production, learning and research" research and development mechanism.
T1000 grade high performance carbon fiber is a high-performance fiber urgently needed by the state. It is jointly developed by the mountain carbon fiber engineering technology research center and the Institute of chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It can complement each other, support each other and tackle key problems together, so as to solve the needs of the country.
Shandong University will continue to support the development of Shanda carbon fiber engineering technology research center and the comprehensive cooperation between the research center and the Institute of chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in order to contribute to the development of the mountain carbon fiber business and serve the country better.

The Institute of chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences is the first unit to develop carbon fiber in China. Currently, it has a research team based on Xu Jian researcher as an academic leader.
Based on basic research, the team collaborate with the carbon fiber engineering and technology research center of Shandong University to carry out deep integration of engineering technology and science and technology, and jointly develop high-performance carbon fibers.
The Institute of chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will actively support the cooperation of the school and make a solid and stronger China's carbon fiber business.

The carbon fiber engineering technology research center of Shandong University is a provincial research center. Its main research fields include the development of PAN high performance raw silk technology, high-strength carbon fiber production equipment and preparation technology development, and carbon fiber composite products.
The center hosted 863 projects, including 5 related items, 973 related projects, 3 National Natural Science Funds, 1 international cooperation projects, 3 major military projects, and a total of nearly 100 projects in Shandong Province, Provincial Natural Science Fund, provincial Doctoral Fund and horizontal joint development project.
The center has been authorized nearly 30 patents, and has won a number of provincial and ministerial awards, forming a large number of carbon fiber related autonomy.
