Turkmenistan Expands Textile Exports To Tap Economic Potential

Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, said at the government conference that he will vigorously explore the economic potential of Turkmenistan and expand the export of textiles.

Technology modernization makes factory target products more specialized. Products need to consider the geographical location of enterprises, whether they are close to the origin of raw materials, the characteristics of residents' employment and climatic conditions.

The president said: "the state will create all the conditions for the development of the textile industry to a new level, and invest heavily in the implementation of large-scale industrial projects."

The president of Turkmenistan believes that not only do we need to increase the capacity of the textile industry, we also need to produce new products that are marketable, introduce advanced technology and perfect production management methods.

He stressed that we should comprehensively promote industry investment, existing enterprise pformation and modernization of new enterprises, and develop productive infrastructure.

At present, Turkmenistan produces 118 thousand tons of cotton yarn, 178 million square meters of fabric and 1.1 tons per year.

7200 tons of terry cloth and 100 million knitted garments greatly exceed domestic demand, and 70% of domestic textiles are used for export.

Turkmenistan grows more than 1 million tons of cotton and 70% of its raw materials are used for processing cotton fabrics.

Large scale soil construction

The number of clothing products has increased significantly, and the product category has increased significantly, including the production of professional clothing for all kinds of work.

The annual output of soil cotton exceeds 1 million tons, which laid the foundation for the development of the soil textile industry.

It can produce about 120 thousand tons of yarn for all kinds of textile products, including towel products.

Most products are exported to the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Turkey, China and Ukraine.

According to Turkmenistan's political, economic and cultural development strategy, the Turkmenistan textile complex will be further developed, and the fiber processing capacity in 2020 will eventually reach 500 thousand tons.

We should vigorously expand the types of cotton products: cloth, jacquard, curtain cloth, flannelette, velvet, fine linen cloth, fine plain cloth and so on.

In 2010~2020, 6 large textile factories will be built, 8 spinning factories will be built in various states, and Ashkhabad's cotton mill, 4 cotton mills, 2 garment factories in Ma Lei and Turkmenabat, and woolen processing plants in Ma Lei will be pformed.

Invest $650 million to develop the textile industry and provide 70 thousand new jobs.
