In November 1st, the first national standard for civil respirators in China -

Before the implementation of the code, there was no relevant protective mask standard for the general public.

At present, the standards of respirators in China include respirator, respirator, respirator, medical mask, medical surgical mask and so on, but they all belong to the standard of labor protection and medical protection.

In addition to standards and quality, the mask market still has the problem of brand imitation.

The national standard will be divided into four new respirators.

The implementation of the code will improve the phenomenon that the market of civilian respirators can not be standardized.

According to this standard, the protection level of respirators ranged from low to high: four grades: D, C, B and A-level, respectively, corresponding to different air quality.

For example, a level corresponds to "serious pollution", which is used at PM2.5 concentration of 500 micrograms per cubic meter; grade D corresponds to "moderate and below pollution", which is applicable to PM2.5 concentration of less than 150 micrograms per cubic meter.

The specification stipulates the packaging, marking, storage and pportation of masks strictly, and requires that the logo contain "product protection effect grade" and "execution standard number".

China Industrial Textile Industry Association took the lead in drafting the specification. Li Guimei, vice president of the association, said in an interview with reporters that the standard has 15 indicators, judging products from three aspects: safety, hygiene and protection.

Moreover, referring to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, strict regulations for toxic and harmful substances are also made.

She said that many well-known brands at home and abroad have been developing and producing masks according to the specifications, and sent them to the third party authoritative inspection organizations for testing.

The association will also regularly publish the list of eligible enterprises to the public and cultivate brand pilot enterprises.

How to choose masks? Filter layer is the key.

Is it appropriate to choose a high-level mask? For this reason, Zhao Jinyu, senior engineer of the Ministry of science and technology development of the China Textile Industry Association, pointed out that from the perspective of its own characteristics, the comfort of the same brand masks can be reduced with the improvement of protection performance.

"If the respiratory resistance is too large, it will not exclude chest tightness and dizziness," she said. Therefore, according to the weather and their own situation, they should wear appropriate protective masks and make proper protection.

In addition to specialized anti fog and haze masks, there are also cotton masks and disposable medical masks on the market.

Li Guimei said that simple cotton cloth and gauze mask had little effect on PM2.5 filtration. What really played a role in filtration was the filter layer formed by the nonwoven fabric or other filter materials in the mask.

Speaking of respirators installed on some respirators, Li Guimei said breathing valves play a role in relieving respiratory resistance.

Of course, no matter whether there is a breathing valve on the respirator, it is OK to comply with the specification.

The price of masks is affected by supply and demand or there will be no shortage.

In addition to the protective effect, the price of respirators is also a concern for many people. Some low quality masks are not in good quality.

"In the process of purchasing, we found that some masks cost only four or five cents," Cheng Xiqing said. However, these respirators had problems of poor filtration efficiency and poor airtightness. Some of them had only about a dozen percent of filtration efficiency, and the quality of such masks did not meet the procurement standards.

Cheng Xiqing said that in 2012, the market of domestic anti fog and haze mask was just emerging. Some manufacturers were not prepared for the explosive demand of the civilian market, and the masks were in short supply.

"At that time, the dealer had a price of less than 3 yuan for a mask, but the price could mention nearly 20 yuan at the time of sale," he said, and the price of the mask was mainly regulated by supply and demand.

This year, the number of dealers has increased from last year, and later sales volume depends on the weather.

Li Guimei said that in the past, there was an enterprise reaction. In haze weather is more serious, the day's mask production volume for sales support is difficult.

But now, many production enterprises have made preparations from the research and development of materials, the upgrading of technology, the design of masks, the production and storage, and if there is a serious fog and haze, there should be no shortage of masks.
