Of the emissions of greenhouse gases, 70% come from its stores.

Alexandre Capelli Capelli, director of environmental issues at LVMH group, said the group's main task now is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020.

The world's top luxury group LVMH Mo t Hennessy Louis Vuitton, together with their lighting suppliers, held a "Life in Store" award ceremony in a coffee shop in Paris, giving awards to eight of the most popular LVMH group stores in different types of environmental and sustainable development trials.

Some of the award-winning shops are as follows:

The best insulation award was awarded to C e line store in Miami.

The best water and energy management award was awarded to Louis Vuitton Paris Place Vend me me flagship store.

The best interior design will be awarded to Guerlain's Saint Honor store.

LVMH group managing director Toni Belloni and environmental director Sylvie B nard participated in the presentation ceremony.

"These stores show the way for all LVMH groups," B e nard said.

We will continue to work hard to improve its environmental performance. "

B e nard also added that this event promoted the launching of the Environment Academy (Environment Institute) architect training program of LVMH group.

Of the greenhouse gases emitted by the LVMH group, 70% came from its stores.

The main task of the group's current major task is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2020, according to Alexandre Capelli, director of environmental issues at LVMH group.

At present, LVMH group has 4370 stores all over the world.

    Improvement of lighting technology

Capelli said: "there are three sources of energy consumption in our stores: lighting, air conditioning and electronic equipment, of which the first two are particularly energy intensive."

To solve this problem, LVMH group has held a meeting between executives and lighting suppliers every year in the past five years to explore how to use the latest LED technology to reduce energy consumption.

Capelli pointed out that compared with traditional lighting, the average energy consumption of LED lighting is 30% lower.

Capelli added: "the development of LED today is like the 90s computer.

    industry

Almost every six months, there will be a technological leap, and regular communication can help us sort out the latest development information of the industry.

LVMH group lighting expert Nicolas Martin said: "I hope that the architects responsible for store design can be more interested in adjusting the lighting system and saving energy, and paying attention to it as painters emphasize palette."

Martin is responsible for various projects in LVMH Loewe, such as improving the effect of light reflection on lighting quality in the workshop.

Martin has been studying lighting energy conservation for 15 years, and the development of LED technology has further aroused his interest in this field.

Martin is confident that the new laser lighting system developed by Soraa will be put into use in the next few years for one of the major breakthroughs in this year's lighting field.

Soraa is located in California, and is one of the founders of the 2014 Nobel Nakamura Shuji. Shuji.

Capelli said that lighting concerns also changed the lighting mode of the store.

Capelli: "our past lighting mode is to ensure that there are lots of lights everywhere.

But now we will reduce the coverage of lights and focus more on key products.

Our entire lighting culture is changing with new technology. "

The current research focus of lighting industry is to reduce the size of the light source while prolonging the service life of the light source.

Martin said: "all lighting components can be improved, but if our suppliers immediately use immature technologies, they will probably affect the quality of their products.

So we need to take part in it to help developers reduce risks.

He cited the example of Citizen, a Japanese lighting company, which lowered the consumption of light from 40 watts to 15 watts without affecting the intensity of light.

He worked for Lumenetix company in California for about 40 years.

    industry

Joachim Liebig, a senior figure, thinks that it is dangerous to simply emphasize energy saving and ignore lighting quality. He cited the example of yellow streetlights on the high speed road to show the reflection effects of different types of light on cards.

He said: "if you want to save energy and reduce the intensity of light is very dangerous, it may reduce the driver's ability to recognize objects."

    Recycling

Executives pointed out that recycling is another effective way, and said it has set up a think-tank with 30 suppliers to explore ways to recycle waste lights.

Capelli said: "we soon realized that lighting is an important issue, but there are many other areas that need improvement."

According to LVMH group, according to the different conditions of stores, they can involve many aspects of recycling, including construction.

    Material Science

Heat insulation, interior decoration, furniture, maintenance and so on.

For example, employees can use screws as much as possible instead of glue, which makes recycling process easier.

Capelli added that some of LVMH's brands are particularly noteworthy, such as Sephora (Si Fulan), which owns a large store network, and their lighting is a very important energy consumption factor.

Capelli said: "our goal is to reform two aspects: environment and performance. They are not separate but complementary. The emphasis on the environment will not hinder the improvement of performance. On the contrary, it may also promote innovation and promote sales."
