General Administration Of Municipal Supervision: Speed Up Construction And Promote High Quality Development Standard System

At the national standardization meeting held recently, Zhang Mao, director general of the General Administration of market supervision, pointed out that we should enhance our sense of mission and urgency in doing well the standardization work in the new era, and integrate our thoughts and actions into the central government's judgment of the situation and the deployment of our economic work. We should further clarify the mission and tasks of the new era standardization work, and better play the basic, strategic and leading role of standardization for economic and social development.

Zhang Mao stressed that efforts should be made to resolve the contradiction between standard deficiencies and strive to solve the problem of idle standards. Efforts should be made to promote standardization reform, focus on improving the level of internationalization of our standards, focus on overall planning and team building, earnestly promote the construction of high quality development standards system, vigorously promote standardization strategy, and promote high quality development with high standards.

In the work report, Tian Shihong, deputy director of the General Administration of market supervision and director of the standard committee, pointed out in his work report that in 2019, the national standardization work should focus on the construction of a high quality development standard system, deepen the standardization work reform, build a more scientific and reasonable standard system, improve the standard level comprehensively, build more advanced and applicable standard systems, strengthen the implementation and supervision of standards, and establish a more effective standard system; vigorously promote international standardization work, build a more open and compatible standard system, enhance the standard of basic ability level, and build a more secure standard system.
