    Trends In US Consumption And Online Shopping

    A new report by CPC Strategy points out that Amazon is leading the growth of sales in clothing online shopping.

    Amazon not only launched more than 60 own clothing brands, but also attracted many well-known fashion brands to enter their platforms.

    In 2018, Prime Day sold more than 5 million items on Amazon. Amazon is expected to overtake WAL-MART as the largest clothing retailer in the United States.

    Nowadays, American consumers are getting more and more expensive to buy clothing. Interestingly, they seem to be very willing to buy their own brand products, and the days when large fashion companies occupy the largest share of the clothing market may be numbered.

    Trends in clothing shopping

    1. Amazon dominates.

    Amazon is still the first stop for us consumers to buy online clothing. The brand website ranks second among young consumers.

    63% of the Z generation and 57% of the millennial consumers in the United States have already bought clothes in Amazon, and the Z generation has shown strong interest in buying clothes directly from the brand website.

    2, the number of online shopping increased.

    More and more American consumers began to buy clothing more frequently online. In 2018, a survey data showed that the number of shoppers in the US often (at least once a month) and frequently (once a week) online shopping clothing increased, accounting for nearly 24% of all shoppers.

    3, mobile terminal orders increased

    The number of online shopping orders for young consumers in the US is catching up with the PC end.

    Research data show that 63% of consumers are still buying clothing at the PC end, but 42% of these consumers are also shopping for mobile Internet clothing, of which Z generation and millennial consumers are the main consumers.

    4, private brand attracts consumers.

    Shoppers are willing to explore the underlying brand of their own brand.

    47.4% of consumers said they would consider buying non brand name casual wear rather than brand name clothing than brand clothes.

    These shoppers are also more willing to try unfamiliar brands to buy coats.

    Amazon's business strategy for sellers

    The reason why Orolay is widely known is that it has a down jacket sold in Amazon, or even called "Amazon jacket" by foreign netizens. At present, the jacket has got 6000 review on Amazon.

    All the signs show that the success of apparel sellers on Amazon is to launch their own brand goods.
