The reporter learned from the textile industry that since March 1st this year, the protocol on escalation of Chile's FTA has entered into force. This is the second China's FTA upgrading agreement after the escalation of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area. It is also the first escalation agreement signed by China and Latin American countries.

The industry believes that this move will further promote Quanzhou's exports of textile materials and textiles to Latin America.

It is reported that the protocol will further explore the potential of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, enhance the level of trade liberalization and facilitation, and enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, which is of great significance to further deepen economic and trade cooperation between China and Latin American countries.

After the entry into force of the protocol, China will gradually abolish tariffs on some wood products within 3 years, and the wise side will immediately cancel tariffs on textiles, clothing, household appliances and sugar products. The two sides will implement zero tariff products to about 98%. The China Chile Free Trade Zone will become the highest free Trade Zone in China's trade in goods so far.

In terms of service trade, the two sides will further expand and enhance the number and level of the service trade commitment Department on the basis of the existing supplementary agreement on trade in services.

China has further opened its business in more than 20 departments, including commercial legal services, entertainment services and distribution, while the intellectual side has made a higher level of commitment to opening up in more than 40 departments, including express delivery, pportation and construction.

In addition, the protocol also revised and supplemented the rules of origin, economic and technological cooperation, and added rules of electronic commerce, competition, environment and trade.

The industry believes that this move will further promote the export of our textile and garment industry.

In recent years, Quanzhou's exports to Latin America have increased significantly, mainly due to the export of textile raw materials and textile products. Only last year, Shishi exported 1 billion 584 million 840 thousand yuan to Latin America, an increase of 39.61%, most of which were textile raw materials and textile products.

It is also understood that since January 1st this year, China, Pakistan and China Chile Chile electronic commerce information network has been established. In order to facilitate enterprises to obtain certificates in the shortest time, the Quanzhou customs and visa department has taken measures to inform enterprises in advance by means of WeChat, micro-blog, etc., and has adopted "paperless" Declaration mode and courier convenience to make the reporting and collection efficiency of enterprises significantly quickened.

According to customs statistics, in January this year, the number of visas issued by China Pakistan and China Chile certificates increased by 68.18% and 35.10% respectively, and the amount of visas increased by 220.9% and 31.67% respectively.
