CK Completely Abandon Raf Simons'S T Garment Series.
After the departure of the creative director Raf Simons, American designer Calvin Klein announced that it would end the T series 205W39NYC made by him.
Calvin Klein also said it would close the flagship store at 654 Madison Avenue, New York.
As a result, Calvin Klein will be laid off by about 100 people, mainly in offices in New York and Milan, as well as staff in flagship stores.
Michelle Kessler-Sanders, the head of the series, will also be leaving in June.
The additional cost of restructuring is expected to be around us $120 million.
In January of this year, Calvin Klein has said that it plans to reintroduce the 205W39NYC series with brand-new names, design methods and creative directions, focusing on linking the series with other brands and enriching product categories.
This week, a brand spokesman said that although the plan has changed, it does not mean that Calvin Klein will abandon the high-end fashion field, but will look for a new creative director to manage the brand's work in the creation and design.
Since Raf Simons took up the post of chief creative officer of Calvin Klein in August 2016, he is fully responsible for the creative work of all product lines, including men's fashion, underwear, cowboy, home and so on. He has made bold reforms to the brand, not only redesigned the classic dress series, but also changed the team, bringing her own right arm: Designer Pieter Mulier and his boyfriend Matthieu Blazy.

However, the response of Raf Simons's massive reform in the market is somewhat dull.
Last July, Raf Simons announced that Calvin Klein's clothing series was renamed 205W39NYC.
Despite the launch of the 205W39NYC series, the number of retailers sold in this series surged from 30 to 300, but the actual performance of retail business was not as good as expected.
Emanuel Chirico, chairman and chief executive officer of PVH group, the parent company of Calvin Klein, is outspoken. Raf Simons redefined Calvin Klein is not popular with the market.
He believes that for the brand core customers, the design of Raf Simons is too advanced and too expensive.
"From a product point of view, we are moving too far or too fast at the fashion or price level."
Last September, Calvin Klein decided to withdraw part of its Raf Simons rights, including store design, visual merchandising, e-commerce, public relations and communications, and corporate social responsibility. It will no longer report to Raf Simons and be responsible for Marie Gulin-Merle, chief marketing officer.
Although the Calvin Klein brand still offered a renewal contract to Raf Simons, but Raf Simons, who was dissatisfied with the creative rights, was greatly rejected by the new contract, and the two sides broke up.
According to the contract, the term of Raf Simons will not be closed until August 2019, which means that the two sides have concluded their cooperation 8 months ahead of schedule.
