H&M And IKEA Combine To Promote The New Battlefield Of Environmental Friendly Textile And Clothing.

Recently, H&MGroup, a Swedish fast fashion giant, a Swedish home tycoon Inter Ikea Group (IKEA group) and Swedish entrepreneur Lars Stigsson jointly launched the environmental protection fiber company TreeToTextile announced the cooperation with Finland paper maker Stora Enso, will build a demonstration factory in the Stora Enso production Park, and help the environmental protection fiber developed by the us to enter the mass production stage.

According to the agreement, H&M Group, Inter Ikea Group, Stora Enso and entrepreneur Lars Stigsson will hold the same equity interest as TreeToTextile.

Stora Enso, a pulp and paper manufacturer, was incorporated in 1998 by the Swedish mineral and forestry company Stora AB and Finland forestry company Enso Oyj, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.

The company's business is mainly in Europe, but Asia, South America and the United States also have a large share of business.

Stora Enso takes advantage of innovative technologies and products made from sustainable wood to replace many products made from petroleum or non renewable resources.

The company's areas include: architecture, retail, food and beverage, manufacturing, publishing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, hygiene and textiles.

TreeToTextile, founded in 2014, is a joint venture established by H&M Group, Inter Ikea Group and entrepreneur Lars Stigsson for R & D sustainable development materials.

They selected timber from the sustainable development forest area, and used special technology to extract cellulose from wood, and made them into textile fibers, which were applied to all kinds of clothing and household soft clothing.

This technology is more environmentally friendly than traditional textile industry using less energy and chemicals.

TreeToTextile has already completed trial production in Sweden.

Annica Karlsson, chairman of TreeToTextile, said that cooperation with Stora Enso will help the company enter the mass production stage, make products more environmentally friendly and lower production costs. The company will promote this new fiber to other fashion and home companies in the future.

H&M group's H&M CO:LAB sustainable fashion investment manager Erika Karlsson said that for the group, TreeToTextile is a long-term investment project. They believe that through TreeToTextile's special technology, consumers will be provided with cheaper and more environmentally friendly products in the future.

It is said that Sewbots intelligence is currently used to produce flat round or square products such as carpets, pillowcases, towels and so on, and has achieved the capability of producing 30 million such products annually.
