According to the introduction, compared with the existing standard of eiderdown, TB/TCFDIA004-2018 "high quality down garment" is especially aimed at high quality down.

In the "high quality down garment" standard, the cashmere content is used instead of the amount of cashmere, so as to eliminate the dishonest behavior of adding velvet silk to the inferior fabric.

The standard also stipulates that the nominal value of cashmere can not be less than 85%.

"To increase this threshold is based on the quality of most of the down garments currently on the market, because some of the down garments with a nominal amount of 90% down, the actual cashmere content is only 81%."
