"Keqiao International Textile Capital Pavilion" First Entered Africa

In November 4th, the Keqiao international textile Capital Exhibition Group, which was composed of 19 enterprises in our region, went to Nigeria to attend the thirty-third Nigeria Lagos International Trade Exhibition for 4 days. The fabric produced by the exhibition hall attracted the attention of many international businessmen. On the first day, it received more than 3000 visitors and enquiries.

"The organization of our enterprises in West Africa will help develop new markets." In order to seize the historic opportunity of building the "one belt and one way" initiative and the development of Sino African cooperation, respond to the Zhejiang provincial action plan to accelerate the development of foreign trade and economic cooperation, and create a new growth pole for Keqiao's foreign trade development. According to the plan of "three seas and three cities" action plan, the Bureau and the China Textile City Group Corporation of Zhejiang first organized the African enterprises of local enterprises. Relying on the "Nigeria Lagos International Trade Exhibition", the only large-scale International Textile Fair in West Africa, the trial service mode of "enterprise order - government group buying - carrying bags exhibitors" was launched. With the "unified organization, unified exhibition and unified propaganda" approach, the Keqiao textile products and regional brand image were introduced as a whole, helping Keqiao enterprises to develop new markets in Africa. As one of the exhibitors, Keqiao's "far seeing trade" staff said that the popularity and effectiveness of the exhibition area helped Keqiao enterprises to make new partners in the current complicated international trade environment and expand their own market. At the exhibition, local enterprises such as Rui Xi textile and other first time involved in the market area showed strong interest in West African market and hoped to establish trade relations with them. It is reported that the exhibition group will also visit two emerging markets in Africa, namely Nigeria and Ethiopia, and visit a series of commercial docking activities such as its textile industrial zone and international textile exhibition.

In recent years, our region's textile trade with Africa has shown a growing trend. Relevant data show that last year, the volume of non export trade in our region was 1 billion 562 million US dollars, which increased by 23.95% at the same time, accounting for 13.7% of the total exports of the region, of which 1 billion 388 million US dollars in textile exports, an increase of 24.20% over the same period last year. In the 1-9 month of this year, our region exported 1 billion 291 million US dollars to non textile products, an increase of 23.87% over the same period last year.
