Fill The International Gap! China Spinning Standard Led International Standard ISO 1833-28:2019 Officially Released

The international standard ISO 1833-28:2019 "textile quantitative chemical analysis twenty-eighth parts: the mixture of chitosan fiber and some other fibers (dilute acetic acid)" was officially released by the China General Technology Group, China spinning center, China Textile Standard Inspection and certification Limited by Share Ltd (abbreviation: China spinning standard).

　　 Chitosan fiber has many special functions, such as biocompatibility, broad spectrum antibacterial and biodegradability. It is applied to textile, medical and health fields. Due to poor spinnability of chitosan fibers, most of them are blended with other fibers. The unique properties of chitosan fiber depend on the content of chitosan fiber, and the content determines the price of the product. This standard provides an effective method for the determination of chitosan fiber content, and provides a technical basis for the production, use, trade and other stakeholders.

Under the condition that the international standard is still blank, our country based on GB/T 35257 led the proposal to set up the new international standard work item. It was formally approved by ISO/TC38 P member's vote in 2016. The proposal of the project has attracted the attention of all countries. 16 countries voted for the vote, 7 of which recommended expert participation, but 3 countries opposed it.

In order to further verify the accuracy and reliability of the method, China spinning standard organized an international joint experiment between laboratories in France, Germany, South Korea (FITI, KOTITI), China, Belgium, Portugal and Italy, and produced nearly 100 test samples. It has occupied nearly a year from organization test, collection information to data statistics. Through unremitting efforts, the joint test has achieved satisfactory results and made the follow-up work smoothly. The establishment of the ISO standard lasted 3 years and was officially released this year.

The analysis of textile fiber composition has always been the focus of attention at home and abroad. At present, there are more than 20 series of ISO1833 related standards, most of which are formulated by the European Union countries. The ISO standard, which is set up in China, has broken this pattern as part of the series. It is another breakthrough in the successful development of China's textile advantages and characteristics.
