Huqiu Wedding Dress City Cup: 2023 Student Design Contest Of Jiangsu Costume Colleges Was Successfully Concluded

Spring brings warm wind, fragrant flowers fly. On March 22, the final of "Huqiu Wedding Dress City Cup · 2023 Jiangsu Fashion College Student Design Competition" was successfully concluded. This design contest lasted for several months, gathered excellent students from major clothing colleges in the province, and they launched a strength contest on design and dreams with the theme of "blooming".

This competition is guided by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, hosted by Jiangsu Garment Association, Suzhou Huqiu Wedding City, and undertaken by Jiangsu Garment Designers Association. The contest aims to explore outstanding talents in the wedding dress industry, promote the integration of brand and education, design and market, and further promote the innovative integration and development of the wedding dress industry. From the preliminary contest to the final contest, the contestants went through layers of selection and finally selected 25 excellent design works to enter the final contest. These design works ingeniously integrate the elements of Chinese traditional culture and modern aesthetics, and use exquisite embroidery, bead decoration and Chinese classical patterns to show the oriental elegant cultural charm. At the same time, it gives the wedding dress a romantic and elegant visual experience with light gauze, satin, crystal and other materials, fully demonstrating the surging power of original design.

Wu Xuewei, the leader of the jury of the competition, gave full affirmation to the entries, and hoped that this competition could become a new model for the coordinated development of industry and education integration, and also looked forward to seeing more design competitions connect with enterprises in the future, transforming the excellent works of designers into reality, so that design creativity can enter the market and integrate into life.

At the finals, the contestants presented their design works wonderfully. The models dressed in traditional Chinese elements and western elegant style wedding dress appeared one by one. 25 groups of works showed the rich imagination and artistic creativity of young designers from multiple angles through the catwalk form, allowing the audience to immerse in the romantic, elegant, solemn, refined and perfect comfortable experience given by the wedding dress.

At the award ceremony, Ms. Gong Huijuan, president of Jiangsu Garment Association, awarded Huqiu Wedding Dress City the title of "Jiangsu Garment Industry University Research Cooperation Base".

After strict screening by the jury, we ushered in the highlight of the competition. In the end, contestant No. 24 won the gold medal with his work "Fragrance Seeking Plum Blossom"; Competitors No. 6 and No. 8 won the silver medal respectively for their works "Entanglement" and "White Magnolia Overture"; Competitors 1, 21 and 23 won the bronze medal respectively with their works "Thousands of Weaves", "National Color of Dunhuang" and "Phoenix Flying".

The successful holding of this contest not only provides a platform for the students of clothing colleges in Jiangsu Province to show their talents, but also injects new vitality into the wedding dress industry. Through this competition, we can see the unlimited potential and creative inspiration of young designers, who will bring more surprises and breakthroughs to the wedding dress industry.
