On October 9, the 2024 working meeting of the Science and Technology Award Committee of the China Textile Industry Federation was held in Beijing. More than 30 leaders and members, including Sun Ruizhe, president of China Textile Federation, Li Lingshen and Duan Xiaoping, vice presidents, Yu Jianyong and Chen Wenxing, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the meeting online or offline. The meeting was presided over by Li Lingshen, Vice President of China Textile Federation.

At the meeting, Zhang Chuanxiong, director of the Science and Technology Development Department of China Textile Industry Federation, reported the work of science and technology awards of China Textile Industry Federation in 2024. Members reviewed and approved the list of recommended awards for the 2024 China Textile Federation Science and Technology Awards, and actively communicated and made suggestions on how to effectively guide cross-border cross cutting fields to participate in industry awards, accelerate the promotion and application of science and technology award achievements, and continuously enhance the brand influence of industry science and technology awards.

Li Lingshen pointed out in his speech that the industry science and technology award should aim to guide and promote the scientific and technological progress of the industry and promote the high-quality development of the industry, focusing on rewarding the major achievements in solving the national strategic development needs and the key, difficult, blocking and hot issues in the industry development. At the same time, the industry should earnestly implement the relevant requirements of deepening the reform of science and technology award, continue to improve the industry's science and technology award system, and ensure that the review is fair, just and open.

In his speech, Sun Ruizhe fully affirmed the important role of science and technology award work in scientific and technological innovation of the whole industry. He pointed out that the award-winning achievements in 2024 are mainly characterized by the emergence of young talents, the upgrading of the technology pilot industry, the achievement of breakthroughs in award projects and remarkable achievements in achievement transformation, and put forward the following four suggestions for the industry's science and technology award work: first, strengthen the academic, honorary and pure nature of science and technology awards, and play a positive incentive role; Second, continue to strengthen basic research and steadily improve the original innovation ability of the industry; Third, steadily promote cross-border integration and innovation, and expand the breadth and depth of scientific and technological innovation in the industry; Fourth, strengthen brand strategy and expand the influence of industry science and technology awards.
