Shenghong Team And Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology Have Made Great Achievements In Ten Years Of Direct Spinning Technology
Recently, the 2024 China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Award Conference was held to commend the 2024 China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Award. The project of "Research and Development and Industrialization of Polyester Composite Fiber Melt Direct Spinning Engineering Technology" (hereinafter referred to as "Composite Fiber Direct Spinning Project") jointly developed by Jiangsu Ganghong Fiber Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shenghong Holding Group, and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and other units, won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award, which is a major breakthrough in composite spinning engineering and industrialization technology.
The research and development of composite fiber direct spinning project relies on major scientific and technological achievements transformation projects and strategic systems engineering involving two universities, four enterprises, one national manufacturing innovation center, one university technology transfer center, and nearly 100 scientific researchers. After five years of exploration, the project has broken through the key technology of engineering and industrialization of polyester composite fiber melt direct spinning, and realized the continuous polymer melt direct spinning of polyester parallel composite fibers.
The Shenghong team of the project and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology have carried out more than ten years of industry university research cooperation in bicomponent composite fibers and related fields, with rich achievements. By virtue of the joint research of the two sides in the continuous polymerization melt direct spinning preparation of polyester microfiber, fully matt multi-functional polyester fiber, chip spinning functional juxtaposition composite polyester fiber and other aspects, the two sides won the first prize of China Textile Union Science and Technology Progress Award in 2014 and 2015 and the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015.

"Go against the current" and innovate bravely
As an important strategy for the design and preparation of fiber materials, composite spinning technology plays an extremely important role in the modern textile industry. Among them, polyester composite fiber, which accounts for the highest proportion, has been widely used in clothing, home textile, health care and other fields. However, at present, chip spinning is still the main method, and there are many problems to be solved, such as long production process, large equipment area, low single line production capacity, high energy and material consumption. Therefore, it is urgent to carry out collaborative innovation of composite fiber manufacturing technology and engineering equipment to achieve quality and efficiency improvement, energy conservation and emission reduction, low-carbon and environmental protection.
Based on the production and R&D practice of chip spinning composite elastic fiber for many years, Shenghong has been engaged in research in relevant fields since 2008, organizing scientific and technological personnel to jointly carry out relevant technical research and production university research application cooperation with Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. The project team "changed the equipment from equipment" and carried out technical transformation on the original 100000 ton PET plant of Shenghong.
In the past two years, with repeated scheme design, innovation and improvement, technical R&D personnel, fearless of challenges and failures, poured their sweat and efforts, and finally made breakthrough progress. In 2010, the world's first 80000 ton melt direct spinning all matte fiber project with fine design was completed.

"Pioneering" creates a breakthrough
The composite fiber direct spinning project team did not stop here. They made persistent efforts to tackle the key problems in the melt spinning technology of full matt polyester, overcome the technical difficulties of molecular coagulation in the process of polymerization and melt transportation, solved the problems of material balance and dispersion of matting agent in the whole plant, and formed a core production technology with independent innovation.
In the process of R&D and practice, the project team focused on the research and development of multi-component fiber melt direct spinning technology, and achieved a number of technological breakthroughs, especially in the synthesis of high viscosity polyester and the design technology of high viscosity polyester reactor, and developed a series of high viscosity reactors and melt direct spinning devices such as PTT, PBT, PMT.
The breakthrough progress of the project is numerous: the structure and performance control mechanism of polyester juxtaposition composite fiber has been established, the polyester thermal and thermal oxygen stabilizer system has been established, the nano deposition catalyst and titanium silicon composite catalyst have been independently developed, and the key technology of continuous polymerization, direct spinning, high heat and thermal oxygen stability, high viscosity polyester polymerization has been broken through; Invented and designed the polymerization reactors of single kettle double viscosity polyester, high viscosity semi dull polyester, high viscosity full dull polyester, high viscosity PTT and high viscosity PBT, and completed the engineering design of the whole process of polyester continuous polymerization two component parallel melt direct spinning; The key technologies of melt transportation with low temperature, short flow, online viscosity reduction and solid liquid lubrication have been developed, and a stable melt horizontal plug flow transportation system has been established; Design a dual channel composite spinning box and special two-component composite spinning components, develop a complete set of polyester parallel composite fiber melt direct spinning technology, and successfully produce semi dull, full dull high viscosity PET/low viscosity PET melt direct spinning composite fibers and PTT/low viscosity PET, PBT/low viscosity PET and other composite fibers; The key technologies of short process pretreatment and one bath dyeing of polyester bicomponent fibers with the same color have been developed, realizing high efficiency and low energy consumption level dyeing

"Ten years of sword sharpening" has yielded fruitful results
Innovative research and development is only the first step, and the key is to launch products after the implementation of technology. From the highly elastic PTT/PET composite fiber, to the easily dyed high and low viscosity PET composite fiber, and then to the super soft PBT/PET composite fiber, the project team has made great efforts on new, strange and different products, and has developed a series of popular two-component composite fiber products in the market. The project team has studied and established the design model of composite components and box pipes, independently designed and developed the oil agent pump displacement distribution calibration device, automatic sand loading device and sander, and independently developed a variety of differentiated composite elastic fiber products, mainly including high pile elastic composite fiber, multi-component ultra-fine composite elastic fiber, and profiled cross section composite elastic fiber.
The team layout while developing and rapidly industrialize the innovative breakthrough achievements of the project. In 2023, Shenghong has built the world's first 200000 t/a high-capacity continuous polymer melt direct spinning high and low viscosity HPET/LPET and multi-component flexible direct spinning composite fiber production line, including 100000 t/a HPET/LPET composite elastic fiber SSY 20000 ton/year semi direct spinning HPTT/LPET composite elastic fiber H400, 50000 ton/year semi direct spinning HPBT/LPET composite elastic fiber BEY and 30000 ton/year semi direct spinning composite elastic fiber HEY. This year, Shenghong has built another 100000 t/a full extinction continuous polymer melt direct spinning composite fiber production line.
"Shenghong has formed a capacity of 300000 tons of continuous polymer melt direct spinning bicomponent composite fiber. The product quality is excellent, and the cost and consumption are significantly lower than the original chip spinning device. After the product is put on the market, it has been unanimously recognized by the market, and has reached cooperation with Anta, Uniqlo, Nike and other well-known brands." The project leader said.
At present, the project has obtained 13 authorized invention patents, applied for 7 international PCT patents, and formulated and revised 7 industrial standards. According to the appraisal of the academician and expert group organized by the China Textile Industry Federation, it is unanimously agreed that the overall technology of the project has reached the international advanced level, and the engineering technology of polyester parallel composite fiber continuous polymerization melt direct spinning has reached the international advanced level.
