The National Chemical Fiber Standardization Working Conference And The Annual Meeting Of The National Chemical Fiber Standardization Committee Were Held In Beihai

From December 3-5, the National Chemical Fiber Standardization Working Conference and National Chemical Fiber Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC586) The annual meeting was held in Beihai, Guangxi, and more than 150 members and industry experts from China Fiber Quality Monitoring Center, China Textile Industry Federation, China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, Shanghai Textile Industry Technology Supervision Institute, National Chemical Fiber Standardization Technology Committee attended the meeting.

National Technical Committee for Chemical Fiber Standardization (SAC/TC586) At the annual meeting, Li Deli, secretary-general of the National Chemical Fiber Standardization Committee and deputy chief engineer of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, summarized the work of the Standardization Committee. Li Hongjie, deputy secretary-general of the National Chemical Fiber Standardization Committee and director of Shanghai Textile Industry Technology Supervision Institute, introduced the process of standard preparation and revision and how to solve practical problems encountered. Wang Guojian, Director of the Science and Technology Development Department of the China Textile Industry Federation, shared the relevant requirements in the process of application and formulation of industrial standard projects, and Liu Shiyang, Deputy Director of the Development Department of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, shared the preparation of the Accounting and Reporting Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Part 47: Chemical Fiber Production Enterprises and the requirements for key technical indicators. Wang Dantao, the director of the National Chemical Fiber Standards Committee and the deputy director of the China Fiber Quality Monitoring Center, affirmed the work achievements of the Committee in the summary, and hoped that after the establishment of the second Chemical Fiber Standards Committee in 2025, the Committee would continue to fulfill its responsibilities, strengthen learning, and continue to complete the standard formulation and revision work with quality and quantity guaranteed. The meeting was presided over by Guan Xiaorui, Deputy Secretary General of the National Chemical Fiber Standards Committee and Vice President and Secretary General of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association.

At the same time, the standard review meeting and the standard publicity and implementation meeting were held. The experts at the meeting reviewed 6 national standards such as Determination of Oligomers in Polyethylene Terephthalate Fibers and Chips by High Performance Polymer Chromatography (APC), 9 industrial standards such as Determination of Titanium Content in Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) by Ultraviolet Visible Spectrophotometry, and 3 group standards such as Continuous Basalt Fiber Prepreg for Composite Reinforcement.

Standardization status of chemical fiber industry

In 2024, the Chemical Fiber Standards Committee will complete 15 standard formulation and revision, and 14 new ones will be formulated, involving fiber performance testing, recycling, high-performance fibers and other fields, to improve the effective supply of industrial standards. There are 57 current national standards, 314 industrial standards, 101 group standards and 10 ISO standards for chemical fiber.
