Seven Essential Conditions For Internet Entrepreneurship
Recently, I have had a deep feeling with my friends about starting a business, especially the Internet industry. Sometimes, if you really want to succeed, you really need to have many conditions. Even any short board will be the last fatal wound.
I have been reflecting on our entrepreneurial process at the most recent time. For what we have done, a friend of mine later described it as a very good saying: "you have too many reasons for failure."
After rethinking, I also sorted out seven essential conditions for my opinion of Internet entrepreneurship. You don't have to fully care about them. This is just the experience we once had in our business, maybe just our problems, and also our views on these issues.
1, the team: the concept of mutual recognition + exclusive skills + personality of the people together, the idea of not to say more, there is no unified goal, it is best not to start business, otherwise it will end in splinter.
Exclusive skills, teamwork, division of labor, technology is the foundation of the website, if technology is very weak, it is best not to start a business, otherwise, in addition to not fully expressing ideas, delays in project progress, for the most important time of creation, it means opportunity and cost, web project development, the best start 2or3 technology +1 artists, what development is not important at the beginning, do not think about the next 10 years in 5 years, you need to know if we have the chance to last half a year.
Technology is best equipped with a strong architect. The product is the core of the website. How you want to develop in the future basically depends on the architecture.
The market is an important role in the start-up stage. Unless you don't want others to know your existence, people with media resources in the industry are required. If not, it's also time to start training.
Team members should be in harmony, at least in the early days. There is no need to spend time on internal friction. It is better to have friends who have worked together for a while.
2, product: value + innovation. When we are making a product, we consider its value, what is the value of the user and what the commercial value is. For Internet entrepreneurship, I prefer to see it as a creative work. We are creating new things, creating a new service, or changing the existing services to enhance the user experience.
What business value do we have to cater to?
Actually, starting a business is to create business value. If you don't know where the business outlet is, who will pay for your business in the future?
You also need to consider the differentiation of products and not compete with giants.
3, mentality: using time to manage the state of time is the fundamental condition to check the success of the project. Starting a business is not a half year's business. It needs to be carefully managed.
Entrepreneurship will face many problems and difficulties. Many times, the heart is a kind of torment, and persistence may not succeed, but abandoning is bound to fail.
Faced with all kinds of problems, sometimes the most difficult thing to maintain is inner peace.
It is difficult for a company to do business. It needs to go through several stages. First step, you need to develop it to perfect it. The second step is to accumulate several batches of users. In the third step, you need to accumulate users to a certain scale. The amount of visits to the website is also a basis for reference. The fourth step may be tentative commercial exploration. The fifth step may be the development of a real scale business model, and then continue to expand and expand.
These will take time, and all of them need a steady state of mind to run steadily. No industry can change the nature of business. The rules of business are constant. Impetuous mentality can only encourage growth and ultimately achieve nothing.
4, capital: the necessary funds for the start-up period, the capital needed for start-up, at least you know that the money can make your project go to a certain orbit. The source of the funds may come from within the team. If your money is not enough to support the necessary development, it is best not to start a business, otherwise it can only be a waste of time and money.
To a certain extent, investment is necessary, but short-sighted and speculative investors need to be especially careful when they invest in projects.
Financing is a process of game between entrepreneurs and investors. It needs to be on an equal footing, including mutual recognition of personality, mentality and value. Sometimes investment is to integrate resources of project development, and they are also members of the project.
5, experience: moderate work experience, 80% of the world's most successful Internet Co, entrepreneurs are less than 30 years old.
There is also a figure 90% of College Students' Entrepreneurship failure, and the failure rate of College Students Internet entrepreneurship may be 99%.
In addition to other factors, I feel that I need to have moderate work experience, which is more tested by entrepreneurs' unpredictable life and judgment in the future.
At the same time, a lot of professionalism is also sharpened in the work, for people, things, management, communication, business, networking will be relatively mature.
6, resources: resources must be developed to promote project development. For example, if you want to be a shopping or business community, the resources that must be developed for this project may be: opinion leaders in certain fields, sales channels for certain products, potential partners, marketing channels for community communication, media companies with high-end customer resources, etc.
If you do not have the necessary resources within your resources, then you will probably be very slow or even surpassed by the rising stars at a certain stage of development.
Having chatted with a VC friend, he said: "China's entrepreneurial environment is bad, and its investment environment is also very bad. Investment projects are not creative."
People who do not have resources often dress for others, unless your products are excellent enough to VC.
7, media: marketing channels, word of mouth, I think the start-up enterprises, it is difficult to have enough strength to promote projects, there is not enough market budget, so ingenious need to take advantage of the situation, to mobilize the power of word of mouth of Web2.0.
In this era of Internet eyeball economy, exposure will also determine the value of a project.
If you can integrate some resources to help spread the website, borrow the power of blogger word-of-mouth, unite some low cost dissemination groups, or the media resources of interpersonal relationship, can greatly promote the project market work, effective and low cost.
Start-ups need to understand small and broad principles.
To look at the road we have taken, it is true that many of our conditions are not satisfactory. Accumulation and precipitation are what we need most.
