[Management Core] To Meet Three Driving Needs Of Employees
Most of the employees are full of enthusiasm when they first come into employment.
But in 85% of the companies, the morale of the employees has plummeted after half a year's work, and this situation will continue to deteriorate.
Why is this happening?
What do employees want from work?
How can we encourage the morale of employees?
Harvard Business School Working Knowledge, published in the article, pointed out that there are basically three kinds of employees' needs: first, to get fair treatment in terms of salary and welfare; two, to get a sense of achievement from work; and three, to have a harmonious interpersonal relationship.
To meet the three needs of employees, it depends on two aspects, one is the system of enterprises, the other is the daily management of leaders.
The role of the manager is very important. The enterprise has a good system, but the managers do not carry out, so the morale of the staff is still not improved.
On the contrary, if the system is flawed, managers can still boost their morale by virtue of good leadership.
The following eight ways can help managers motivate employees.
1, set an inspiring goal for the organization.
2, don't mean to praise employees.
When the employee gets a grade, tell him "well done", give him a day's paid leave or send a bouquet of flowers, thank him for his efforts.
3, make sure that your task is to help employees complete their work.
Sometimes you can eat and chat with your subordinates, understand their difficulties at work, and tell them that they will try their best to help them.
This is also a way to build trust with subordinates.
4, provide training to employees and improve their working skills.
5, ensure that information can flow smoothly.
Communicate with employees regularly and ensure that communication is achieved because employees do not understand or misunderstand the meaning of information.
6, there may be a small number of people who are unwilling to work in the team. They seriously affect other colleagues' enthusiasm for work. What managers should do is to let them leave.
7, teamwork spirit and core competence are equally important.
Managers should know who works best among colleagues, and also pay attention to arranging different views and different ways of work in the team.
And tell them what the team's tasks, the way the team works and what your expectations are.
8, look for opportunities and staff to communicate face to face, discuss how to do to improve performance and encourage employees' innovative behavior.
After making clear the responsibilities of employees, managers should let them finish the task in a way that they feel appropriate.
