2008 National Silk Clothing Design Competition Starts

Recently, the registration system of the 2008 National Silk clothing design competition has been launched on the China Cocoon and silk information network.

The competition is sponsored by the China Silk Association. The theme of the theme is "modern fashion and quality life" by Zhejiang Silk Association, Jiangsu Silk Association, Guangdong silk textile group company, Sichuan Silk Science Research Institute, Soochow University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology and Southwestern University.

The deadline for submission is June 30th.

The competition is divided into four sub divisions, namely, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Sichuan.

The competition will take the bottom-up selection method, divided into two stages: the preliminaries and finals.

The preliminaries will be held in four sub divisions. The selected finalists will participate in the national finals.

In the finals, the winners of the national competition were selected by the national competition jury in the finalists selected in each sub district.

It is understood that the national finals are scheduled to be held in November this year, consisting of two parts: dynamic display and interview.

There are 1 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals and 8 outstanding prizes in this competition, and 6 other single awards, including the best creative award, the best fabric Innovation Award, the best dress matching award, the best craft award, the most market potential award and the best organization award.

According to Lu Shujing, director of the comprehensive management department of the China Silk Association, the main material of the entries is silk fabrics, and the silk fabrics should be creative in pattern, process and modeling. They can make full use of new silk technology, new technology and new materials, and reflect the characteristics of Silk Green and environmental protection.

Lu Shujing also stressed that the entries should reflect the international fashion trend and the theme of this competition, while displaying the artistry, fully embody the practicality, creativity and sense of the times, with emphasis on commercial value and market potential.
