The Legislative Affairs Office of the municipal government announced the decision of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on Revising the "Regulations on the management of the Tiananmen area in Beijing".

The revised regulations on the management of the Tiananmen area clearly stipulate that the commercial and cultural facilities in the Tiananmen area should be unified and the service signs should be set up.

During the lifting of the national flag, major events and holidays, the public security organs and the comprehensive administrative law enforcement organs of urban management will strengthen on-site inspections and management of places and parts that are likely to cause crowds or accidents easily, such as passageways of main personnel and public places.

At the same time, the "Regulations on the management of Tiananmen area" also added a "prohibited articles" clause.

"Prohibited items" include explosives, toxic, radioactive and other dangerous substances, guns, ammunition, dagger and other control devices, drugs, obscenity and other prohibited items, which affect social order and public safety.

In addition, "Regulations" clearly stated that "public security organs can inspect personnel and vehicle organizations entering Tiananmen area."

The relevant person in charge of the Legislative Affairs Office of the municipal government said that after the introduction of the regulations, the Tiananmen security inspection will become a norm throughout the whole year, and no longer distinguish between special activities such as large-scale activities and holidays.
