More Than 2000 Workers In Shoe Factories Stop Working Because Of Overtime.
At 8 a.m. yesterday, more than 2000 workers in Guangzhou's Yu Chuan industrial Footwear Co., Ltd. stopped working because of overtime disputes, and gathered in the town of Baiyao District, from the commercial North Street, causing traffic jams. After mediation by the police and labor and social security personnel, the crowd gradually dispersed at 10 o'clock, and around 2 p.m., the workers who stopped working were reworking. At present, the employers and employees are still negotiating further.
Xiao Wang, a migrant worker in Hunan, said the shoe factory paid 30 days a month. The day before yesterday, they received the salaries in May. Many workers found that they were collectively deducted 100 yuan per person's full time bonus. The reason given by the manufacturer is that "shoes output in May did not exceed April, and did not meet the target."
Xiao Wang and Liu elder sister counted the reporters: according to the contract, the basic salary of the lathe workers is 860 to 870 yuan, the bonus for the whole work is 100 yuan, the overtime payment is counted separately, the monthly salary can be one day off, the monthly paction fee of 25 yuan per person is deducted, and the 30 yuan living expenses in the unit dormitory is deducted. But the fact is quite another: salary is calculated on the basis of 26 days per month, and the monthly leave of absence or more than one night is deducted from the full time bonus of the month, overtime at 17:30 every day to 22 or even 24 hours, but there is no overtime pay.
Mr. Wu, who is in charge of the shoe factory, said that the contract was a piece of paper, overtime work overtime, no overtime pay, low living treatment, harsh management, no rewards and no resignation. "We go to work at 7:30 every day, work at 11:30 noon, work at 13 in the afternoon, and finish work at 17 o'clock, so we must go back to the workshop to work overtime. We usually work overtime until 22, sometimes at 24 midnight, but we can't get a penny of overtime pay." A lathe worker who worked for 7 years in a shoe factory said, "there are 4 more months per month. When we go to work normally, we do not pay any wages, but we will do nothing!"
At noon yesterday, reporters waited for nearly 2 hours by the head of the security contact factory of the factory, and the person in charge of the factory still avoided it. Until yesterday afternoon, under the coordination of the local labor and Social Security Bureau, the factory decided to take a day off tomorrow.

According to the "labor law", every employer arranges overtime work for employees, regardless of whether the unit is a time wage system or a piecework wage system, it should pay overtime wages in accordance with the law.
Yu Chuan Xingye Shoes Co., Ltd. arranges the workers to work overtime, must pay their overtime pay according to the labor contract signed at the time of entering the factory, and deduct the bonus from the workers for the reason of output, in essence, there is no basis for linking production to sales. In this regard, we should check whether the labor contract of the factory is in conflict with the law (the labor law and the labor contract law), and the workers' rights and interests are infringed, so they should be reflected to the labor department in a timely manner.
