Pan Junmin said, "every needle and thread" is also facing different customers every day, "almost every case is a case".
The cashmere sweater was sent to a hole that was much more like a machine gun. There were also fur in a specially designed wooden box.
Although most customers send clothes to dress for better looks, there are many examples of heavy emotions.
The cashmere sweater, which was full of holes, once made Pan Junmin very puzzled: in accordance with the price of "one needle and one thread", the money of the hole was enough to buy another one.
However, the customer's reply is: if you repair it, I will not wear it, but I want it to be put away.
"One needle and one thread" divides all orders into two categories: "quick list" and "slow list".
It is often necessary to discuss the "slow list" which is more complicated and more complicated than before. It is often necessary to discuss with customers again and then it will be necessary for customers to try it on in the process of modification, and even accessories may become a problem.
A suit needs to be filled with a button after it is finished.
But this button pattern is special, and no substitute can be found on the market.
Pan Junmin can only go to the button factory to order, and finally pick out 8 grains from 8000 grains.
According to the price list, the price of trousers is 20 yuan, and the change of fur coat is at least 1500 yuan. Most of the items are quoted at one hundred or two hundred yuan.
The customers at the clothing store are no longer "poor" but "rich" and "people with taste".
Make a big change in clothes shop
10 years ago, Pan Junmin, a sales manager of the clothing factory, sold leather garments in the major department stores. His business was not successful at that time. He also sniffed that the old leather clothing with the function of keeping warm would fade away and prepare for a career change.
Pan Junmin, who is looking for a new way out, is inspired by a friend's words.
"Friends are specialized in trousers sales, and occasionally he talks about spending tens of thousands of dollars every month on changing trousers."
So, Pan Junmin began to investigate, calculate the monthly sales of trousers, and get the monthly income.
In 2001, Pan Junmin's small business of trouser legs was built in Parkson.
"At that time, it did not take it as a permanent solution, but felt that the business of the mall was very stable, and it was time to do it first.
And then ride the donkey to find a better project.
Pan Junmin laughs. "The result is 18 stores now."
In the past ten years, of course, it is impossible to be a tailor.
After investigation, Pan Junmin found that with the emergence of more and more new communities in Shanghai, there were fewer and fewer private small tailoring shops which were common before. More importantly, clothes were becoming more and more diverse. Many versions of clothes had to be modified to suit the shape of Asians. Many people did not know where to put their valuables to rest.
These customers are increasingly demanding from the "one needle and one line". From the original simple change of trouser legs to clothing, knitwear, leather goods and other requirements, "one needle and one line" is also increasing as customers demand more business.
Nowadays, apart from 18 shops in Shanghai, "one needle and one thread" has already moved to Shanghai, and has opened shops in Wuxi, Nanjing and Suzhou.
Site binding department store
All stores adopt the way of joint venture with shopping malls.
Apart from Yongan department store, Yongxin department store and sixth department stores, three are traditional department stores, the rest are foreign shopping centers or Shopping Mall.
Pan Junmin never thought of going out of the store: apart from the high rent, cooperation with shopping malls would often make customers feel that their reputation was guaranteed. When he first started his business, Pan Junmin only dealt with traditional department stores, but he soon discovered that this was not a permanent solution.
Many traditional department stores have their own counters to modify their clothes.
Even if they are willing to cooperate with the "one needle and one line", the shopping mall has not taken Pan Junmin seriously.
So the pavement is arranged in the safety passage, and even if the fire inspection is going to be closed for a few days, the teacher who is responsible for changing clothes often dares not put the valuable clothes in the store, but can only carry them home.
Pan Junmin did not feel wronged. He decided to go and talk with the foreign department store.
The first company that he felt respected was Huaihailu Road Parkson.
"Parkson feels that once we have decided to cooperate, this place must be as good as an image counter."
Pan Junmin was greatly encouraged by this attitude.
He found an experienced master with 3 shops.
Shifu usually does not talk directly with customers, and the communication is handled by the front desk.
At the same time, the front desk also serves as the role of the store manager. He must be familiar with the various techniques of clothing modification and be patient.
Usually, the front desk of the "one needle and one line" should learn from six different clothes masters for half a year while training while working.
Every receptionist must have to finalize every detail, and sometimes make a simple proofing, so that customers can try to formally modify them after trying them on.
In 2005, "one needle and one line" has developed to 10. Pan Junmin has been found in the mall and invited him to open a shop.
When entering a newly opened department store, when other partners ask for better locations in the shopping mall, Pan Junmin asks for some remote locations to be allocated to "one needle and one thread".
Past experience tells him that the location of the new shopping mall will be sold to other counters when the rental rate is not high enough, because "shopping centres should pay attention to the average benefit".
While on the other hand, when the big tree is stable, the more specialized shopping malls are pushing forward.
In the process of cooperation with Parkson, "one needle and one line" registered its own shop name, creating conditions for future chain stores; and cooperation with meylung Town, yishdan, enhanced brand and image creation and further enhanced the grade.
Preparing for expansion
Although almost every day receives the request to join in the telephone, but Pan Junmin always thought that the time is not mature.
"A lot of tailor shops only feel that our unit price is expensive, because they want to join us quickly because they want to make money quickly, and they do not have a sense of brand awareness and service, and our current management level has not reached the stage of development."
But these did not prevent Pan Junmin from making preparations for development.
In order to improve efficiency, Pan Junmin found software companies, and asked them to design a set of order process software for "one needle and one line", so that customers could check their progress of their own clothes online, and they could clearly identify which hands of a piece of clothing went through and which links came out.
"But they don't know clearly. They never design software for the industry."
Pan Junmin said, "I said to them, have you seen the hotel ordering, do one."
Finally, the software is not satisfactory. Even the "one needle and one line" website still stays in the original stage: it is only the introduction of the company's business and the modification of the odd number query.
Pan Junmin didn't understand that. He was still trying to make software companies better understand him.
Entrepreneurship analysis and risk warning
Early investment: Pan Junmin told reporters that with "one needle and one line" as an example, the hardware input of decoration and equipment in early stage is about 100 thousand yuan.
In general, the area of a clothes changing shop is 20 square meters, and the rent in the shopping mall is 25 yuan per square meter per day. The rent is estimated at three yuan per day, and the first rent is about 60 thousand yuan.
In this way, the initial investment in a clothing store is about 160 thousand yuan.
But Pan Junmin also pointed out that the hardware such as fitment and equipment is not the biggest input of the clothing store. The materials needed to modify the garments are larger and often the same as black leather. Because there are nearly ten kinds of color and texture difference, and the same is true for the line.
This part of the investment is not bad.
Profit: because in the famous department stores, the rental of the shop is an important part of the cost expenditure, which is 15000 yuan per month.
Most of the shop masters are versatile and proficient in many skills. Each store is equipped with three masters, plus customer service salesmen. The salaries and welfare expenses of employees are about 20000 yuan.
Coupled with taxes and other expenses, the cost of operation is at least 40000 yuan per month.
According to Pan Junmin, the gross profit margin is generally 45%, then the profit and loss balance should be achieved. The monthly turnover should exceed 88888 yuan. On average, there will be a turnover of 3000 yuan per day on the basis of 30 days.
Location: this kind of shop has its unique advantages in the location of shopping malls. Its source is stable and pportation is convenient. It is also conducive to the improvement of brand image and unit price.
But once developed into chain operations, unified promotional activities are also vulnerable to the constraints of the mall.
Threshold: in addition to having a group of highly skilled teachers, operators must also have a certain aesthetic vision and design level.
At the same time, it is good at communicating with customers, can accurately judge the needs of customers, and, if necessary, can not conceal the shortcomings of customers' physique and so on.
Prospects: dressing shops are popular in Japan and are popular with consumers.
Because some fashion updates are fast and consumers have limited income, it is difficult to catch up with the tide.
But it is not very expensive to pform fashioned fashions into fashion.
Some people are getting thin or fat. Their original clothes can not be worn, and they need to be reformed.
