School of art and design, Shenzhen University
Founded in November 1997, it was merged by the original design department and the Art Department of Teachers College.
The Institute has more than 70 teachers, including 9 professors, 22 associate professors, 20 masters and 2 doctoral degrees.
They come from many famous universities at home and abroad. They have high academic level and rich teaching experience. Many of them are famous experts, artists and scholars who have made many achievements.
A vigorous teaching and research team with a strong expertise, reasonable structure and innovative spirit has been basically formed.
The Institute has an independent teaching office building, including industrial design laboratory, costume design laboratory, computer laboratory, and the library library has more than 3000 professional collections.
The Institute has: brand design and Development Institute, industrial design department, environmental art department, fashion design department, graphic design department, performance department, art education department.
Department of industrial design
This specialty started in September 1987 and is one of the earliest industrial design disciplines in China.
From the beginning of the whole industrial design education model to the formation of its own industrial design education mode, in China's industrial design education practice has made a useful attempt.
The education mode of deep industrial design is embodied in five aspects: emphasizing thinking mode, cultivating innovative spirit, advocating horizontal penetration, emphasizing practice first and improving professional theoretical quality.
It has a reasonable structure and rich teaching experience.
The professional teachers and students have designed many products for the enterprise development, and won nearly 100 awards in the design competition both at home and abroad.
This specialty is based on the combination of design innovation, market orientation and enterprise resources.
It mainly trains professionals engaged in new product development and design, industrial product design, furniture design, exhibition design and computer animation design.
Department of environmental art
The Department of environmental art was established in 1994, and has experienced nearly 8 years of development. Now, there is a reasonable echelon of teachers and 12 professional teachers. Among them, one is senior one and the third one is senior.
It is a teacher who specializes in designing aesthetics, interior design, landscape design, mural sculpture, special art, pottery and architecture from all over the country's colleges and universities. On the basis of mastering advanced visual communication tools and techniques, they attach importance to the cultivation of students' comprehensive cultural accomplishment and enhance their personality consciousness and innovative thinking.
The students who guided them have achieved very good results in various domestic and foreign design competitions.
The environmental art design specialty now has three professional directions: 1, interior design 2, landscape design 3, murals and sculpture design.
Department of graphic design
The Department of graphic design was established in September 2002.
The existing enterprise planning and image design and graphic design two professional directions.
It mainly trains design talents in corporate image design, packaging design, advertising design, book binding design and so on.
There are 9 full-time teachers, including 1 professors, 4 associate professors, 2 lecturers and 2 assistants.
The professional teachers are well equipped, laying the foundation for training all-round development of graphic design talents.
The prosperity of Shenzhen's market economy provides many opportunities for the development of graphic design. The collection and collision of Chinese and foreign culture and art make Shenzhen's graphic design enjoy a unique growth environment.
The Department of graphic design has made a difference in the economic construction and social development of Shenzhen. It will also make greater contributions to Shenzhen's future modernization.
Department of fashion design
The Department of fashion design was established in September 2002.
Its predecessor, clothing design major, was founded in September 1994.
She is one of the earliest disciplines in the art and design discipline of Shenzhen University. With the rapid development of Shenzhen University, it has gone through eight spring and Autumn Periods.
To train hundreds of excellent graduates in fashion design for the country.
Currently, about eighty percent of graduates are engaged in the design, development, brand planning, management, import and export trade, education and management departments of clothing products in government agencies, professional institutions and garment enterprises.
About twenty percent of the graduates continue to pursue their master's degrees in international famous fashion design institutes in the United States, Britain, France, Germany and Italy.
After eight years of teaching practice, the Department of fashion design has explored and established a complete teaching system for training practical talents.
The teaching condition is superior and the equipment is complete.
And has a reasonable, high-level and innovative young and middle-aged teachers.
The students who participated in the international and domestic costume design competitions won five gold medals, eight silver awards and 38 total awards.
The teaching results are remarkable.
At present, the Department of fashion design has a certain impact on the domestic students.
Brand design and Development Institute
The Institute of brand design and development is a research organization under the management of the school of art and design of Shenzhen University.
She takes advantage of the special geopolitical and information resources located in the Pearl River Delta and adjacent port and Macao, and takes the development needs of Shenzhen SAR industry and brand as the driving force.
According to the requirements of market brand economic development, we make relevant theoretical research and practical guidance for brand design and development of Shenzhen and China.
First, the Institute will provide brand design and development, brand diagnosis and development planning for enterprises, integrate brand marketing communication planning, and strive to become advisory bodies for government and enterprise decision-making, and provide advisory reports.
Two, the institute conducts regular academic exchanges with domestic and foreign governments and enterprises to explore the issue of brand economic development, especially the activities of Shenzhen SAR and entrepreneurs and designers in the western region, to promote the coordinated development of brand economy in eastern and western regions, and to serve as a stepping stone to the sustainable development of Shenzhen SAR.
Three, the purpose of the Institute is to study Chinese brand strategy, develop Chinese brand design, promote the growth of Shenzhen brand, serve Shenzhen brand building, publicize brand image, guide brand consumption, promote brand culture and develop brand economy.
Four, set up the brand research journal of China special zone, and strive to be an authoritative professional publication of brand research, brand design, brand planning, brand development, brand management theory and brand experience.
Five, through the operation of the Institute, we launched a batch of academic research achievements with "brand design and development" with social implications, and pformed them into teaching levels, so as to train high-quality academic leaders and talents with innovative spirit and implementation ability.
