Clothing Has Become The Main Force To Pull The Market Back Up.
According to the Ministry of industry and information technology, the growth rate of major retail sales in the first quarter of 2010 showed a marked acceleration compared with the same period last year. Among them, household appliances, gold and silver jewelry and clothing retail sales grew faster.
In the first quarter, retail sales of household appliances, jewellery, jewellery and clothing increased by 24.2%, 36.1% and 28.7%, respectively. The growth rate increased by 30.8, 24.9 and 21.4 percentage points over the same period last year.
Under the influence of rigid consumption, retail sales of daily necessities and cosmetics remained stable.
Retail sales of consumer goods increased by 23.1% over the same period last year, 15.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year, while cosmetic retail sales grew by 18.4% over the same period last year, only 4.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
Food, clothing and household appliances have become the main force to pull the retail market as a whole.
From the contribution rate, food and clothing are still the main sales entities of large retail enterprises, and the contribution rate of the two categories of merchandise sales is over 50%.
From the point of view of the pulling effect, the most effective driving force for the retail market is the clothing and household appliances. The contribution rate of the two types of commodities increased by 7.3 and 7.4 percentage points respectively compared with the same period last year. The contribution rate of food products increased by only 3.2 percentage points from a year earlier.
The sales contribution rate of other categories of commodities declined to varying degrees compared with the previous year.
