What Is The ISO Standard?
ISO is the English abbreviation of the international organization for standardization.
Its full name is International Organization for Standards.
ISO one comes from the Greek word "ISOS", that is, "EQUAL" - equality.
The international organization for Standardization (ISO) is a World Federation composed of national standardization bodies (ISO members).
The development of international standards is usually done by the technical committee of ISO.
If any member group is interested in a project determined by a technical committee, it shall have the right to participate in the work of the Committee.
International organizations (official or non official) that are in touch with ISO can also participate in the work.
ISO maintains close cooperation with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in the standardization of electrical technology.
The difference between "ISO9001" and "GB/T19001"
ISO9001 refers to the international quality management system. In the process of introduction, the international standard is converted to the national standard. The pformation method has two equal uses and the equivalent adoption. In China, the standard is adopted in the same way.
In order to facilitate identification, we added "10000" on the quoted international standards, so the standard of quality management system quoted is correct: ISO9001:2008 IDT GB/T19001-2008.
Among them, IDT means equivalent adoption, and GB/T stands for the national recommendation standard.
The difference between ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 standard
Same point:
ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 series are both management standards. They abide by the general principles of management system.
The 14000 part of ISO directly adopts the content of ISO 9000 standard, and some management modes and authentication procedures are roughly the same.
Difference:
1, ISO 14000 focuses on the environmental impact of activities, products and services, while ISO 9000 focuses on product design, development, production, inspection, use and service quality requirements.
2, because ISO 14000 relates to the whole environment, it should consider not only the needs of customers, but also the wider interests of various aspects, while ISO 9000 involves all employees within the enterprise, and it pays attention to the "quality, site, cost and efficiency".
3. ISO 14000 is applicable to enterprises of all sizes, and is more important for small and medium-sized enterprises. ISO 9000 also applies to enterprises of all sizes.
4. ISO 14000 adopts the method of product life cycle to guide enterprises in implementing the environmental standards in the whole process of production. This is conducive to protecting the environment, saving resources and reducing costs. ISO 9000 emphasizes the action of statistical technology, which requires enterprises to choose suitable statistical methods, earnestly use them, and verify the effectiveness of the use.
5, ISO 14000 focuses on creating a good environment; ISO 9000 pays attention to quality records.
6, although ISO 14000 is not a mandatory standard, it can be used for internal and external certification and registration.
From the above, we can see that there are many differences between ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 in form and content. They are two standard systems that operate independently of each other and can not be replaced each other.
