Intel Invested $25 Million In 7 Venture Companies
Beijing time 09 November 18th morning, according to foreign media reports, Intel said today that as a part of stimulating product demand plan, the company has invested 25 million US dollars in 7 start-up companies.

The summit said that these investments show that even during the economic crisis, Intel did not give up its support for start-up companies.
He said Intel has already completed 10 follow-up investment pactions.
The 7 companies that Intel invested in is:

Technology company Joyent, storage system company Active Storage, input device company Crucialtec, chip front-end equipment company, precision industry, network video conference company V-cube, Internet portal phoenix new media, telecom service analysis software company NeuString.
Su Aiwen said Intel's investment in start-up companies is aimed at stimulating the company's product demand.
Intel usually invests in first, second or three rounds of financing of start-up companies, but Su Aiwen points out that Intel will also invest in companies that are in the initial stage and IPO (initial public offering).
Su Aiwen said that since 1991, Intel has invested in 1050 companies and has withdrawn from more than 400 companies.
At present, the total investment of Intel is US $219 million.
Intel's subsequent investments include social gaming company Vostu, security equipment company Safend, wireless broadband chip design company picoChip, India entertainment portal Wortal, messaging infrastructure provider Sendmail, PHP company Zend, etc.
Intel Capital recently announced a $50 million investment in Clearwire.
Overseas companies account for 36% of Intel's investment.
