Italy is one of the important markets for textile and garment exports in Quanzhou. Recently, the reporter learned from the Quanzhou entry exit inspection and quarantine bureau that Italy will enforce mandatory regulations on products such as textiles, footwear and leather products sold in the market in October 1st this year.

The regulations require that the above product labels must indicate the origin of products, instructions for use, procedures and products that meet the existing regulations, and the safety and reliability of products. Otherwise, heavy penalties will be imposed on violators.

According to the statistics of Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, 1245 textile and clothing products exported to Italy last year were valued at US $32 million 350 thousand, and 153 products of footwear were valued at $6 million 500 thousand.

The relevant officials in charge of the Bureau reminded that in the next few months from the implementation of the new regulations, the shoes and clothing enterprises exported to the Italy market in our city should communicate with the Italy customers in advance on the issue of product identification.
