As of January 1, 2012, leather enterprises with production scale of 100 thousand mark / year shall be closed down and eliminated.

The existing scale of production for leather enterprises with a scale of 100 thousand or more or less than 300 thousand sheets per year or below shall be processed only from the date of issuance of this notice to the end of 2014. Only wet skin and two layers of leather are allowed to be processed, and raw leather should not be processed.

As of January 1, 2015, leather enterprises with production scale of 300 thousand mark / year shall be closed down and eliminated.

According to Xu Qingsi, director of Anhai Kemu tannery Council, there are 63 enterprises in the Moji control area, of which only 5 enterprises have reached 300 thousand mark / year.
