After entering the 2004, Wendeng has made the home textile industry a key project for the strong market and enriching the people, vigorously cultivating key towns, key villages and key enterprises of the textile industry, and the home textile enterprises have sprung up.

Up to now, the home textile enterprises and all kinds of supporting enterprises have reached more than 4000, the annual output value accounts for more than 25% of the total industrial output value of the city, the foreign exchange earning is close to the city's total 50%, the employees reach 150 thousand, the annual processing fee is 300 million yuan, the 80% villages have embroidery processing points, 45% of the rural families benefit from this industry, and Wendeng's home textile industry ranks among the ten industrial clusters in the whole province and the 50 brands of China's industrial cluster. Wendeng is awarded the title of "China's famous household textile city".
