Fuxin leather industry base is the first provincial-level development zone approved by the provincial government and the first "to undertake the pfer of China's tanning demonstration base". It is also one of the three major industrial clusters in Fuxin to achieve economic pformation.

Since the planning and construction, the leather industry base has signed 29 leather enterprises, of which 14 have started construction.

The annual output of 1 million cattle blue wet leather projects has been invested by US $45 million from the largest foreign invested enterprise, Fu Guo leather company. The annual processing of 720 thousand Fox Skins and the annual output of 1 million 500 thousand pigskin has been put into operation.

The construction of leather industry base has also led to the development of aquaculture in Fuxin.

Fuxin has built more than 700 standardized breeding areas around the leather industry base, and the industrial chain has been formed from animal husbandry to beef cattle, mutton sheep, slaughtering pigs and leather products processing.

In order to meet the needs of enterprises, Fuxin has implemented the "ten thousand" project of beef cattle, that is, to build 10 beef cattle raising areas with a scale of over 1000 meat, build 100 beef cattle farms with more than 200 breeding scales, and cultivate 1000 large scale beef cattle raising farmers who have over 50 breeding scale, so as to provide raw material supply for the construction of leather industry base.

The beef processing project of 100 thousand beef cattle slaughtered and 60 million yuan beef products were also identified as the industrial foundation for beef cattle breeding in Fuxin.

In August, Qinghemen District, relying on industrial bases to speed up supporting services and urban construction, invested 560 million yuan in Fuxin leather industry building and central business district, Fuxin leather industrial base staff apartment, Fuxin North leather trading center and Fuxin North raw material logistics center 4 service platform projects started in leather industry base, and will be built according to the annual tanning capacity of 30 million mark, 100 billion yuan of output value and 300 thousand urban population.
