    The international standard setting project group of "electronic test methods for raw silk", the natural protein working group of the technical committee, has recently held its first meeting since its establishment.

    Experts from Switzerland, Italy, India, Japan and China and relevant international organizations attended the meeting.

    It is reported that this is the first time that we have convened and discussed the conference on the development of China's leading textile international standards.

    Its convening accelerated the strategic pace of "standard internationalization and international standard localization" in China, further established the leading position of China's silk in the international silk industry, better safeguarded the economic and technological interests of China's silk industry and its image and status in the international silk industry, played a leading and positive role in China's textile standardization work, and laid a solid foundation for the realization of China's "Silk power" to "Silk power".


    According to Qian Youqing, Secretary General of the China Silk Association and director of the National Silk Standardization Technical Committee, the research on the electronic detection of raw silk began in the 80s of last century in China, but in the past 20 years, it basically stayed on theoretical discussion.

    In recent years, with the support of the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of quality supervision, the relevant research units in China have developed a "photoelectric + capacitance" combination of raw silk electronic detection equipment with the characteristics of our country, and carried out the research on the electronic test method of raw silk, and formulated the standard for electronic testing of raw silk (Draft), and made many technical communication and exchanges with the main producing countries and consuming countries of raw silk, and initially reached a consensus on the electronic detection technology route of raw silk.

    In order to speed up the internationalization of the electronic inspection standards for raw silk, the National Silk Standardization Technical Committee formally submitted to the International Standardization Organization (ISO) textile standardization organization in September 2009 the draft and standard draft for the formulation of the international standards for the inspection and grading of raw silk and its testing methods, and was accepted by ISO.


    As of January 14th this year, the proposal was approved by ISO related institutions for a 3 month online voting.

    Besides China, Japan, Korea, India, Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany and Kenya sent experts to participate in the research work.

    In May 10th this year, the Central Secretariat of ISO registered, marking the first international standard setting work in China's silk industry, which lasted for 3 years.


    It is reported that this meeting is sponsored by ISO related agencies, and is undertaken by the National Standardization Management Committee.

    The Chinese Silk Association, the National Silk Standardization Technical Committee, the Zhejiang entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and the Zhejiang Kai Xi Ya international Limited by Share Ltd and other units are co operating.
