Kimono "Wear Uncomfortable" &Nbsp; This Year'S APEC Summit Is Not Uniform.
The eighteenth Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders summit will be held on the 13 th of this month.

The leaders have to wear the national costumes of the conference organizers and take a "family portrait". This tradition has been maintained for more than 10 years, but this Yokohama summit is going to break this Convention.
According to Agence France-Presse 9 reported that Japanese officials said that the APEC summit in the big picture taken, leaders can choose not to wear.
Kimono
"Just regular clothes will do."
This is not the first time that Japan has made an exception. Some careful people found that Japanese traditional clothing was not provided to leaders at the APEC summit held in Osaka, Japan in 1995.
According to Agence France-Presse 9, at the APEC summit, leaders of China, the United States and Russia will not wear strange cloaks or batik printed shirts, nor will they wear kimono on behalf of Japanese traditional costumes.
Instead, the host designed the clothes for the first ladies to surprise them.
Japanese fashion master Koshino Hiroko said that she used a bioplastic made from silk and corn to design a women's dress. "This is a fashion that combines traditional Japanese crafts with international advanced technology."
Koshino Hiroko said this is the result of her close cooperation with Kyoto masters in Japan.
It is said that the bioplastics extracted from plants are listed in 2007. They are not only biodegradable, but also heat-resistant and durable. They are very environmentally friendly materials.
However, Japanese officials said they would not disclose the specific style of the first lady's clothing in advance. "Before the first ladies wore it, the design details of the dress were a secret, but the costume had the characteristics of the Japanese kimono.
This is a brand new concept fashion. It's neither a suit nor a kimono.
The official also revealed that this dress will have five colors: red, blue, yellow, green and purple.
Another local official said that a similar garment would be introduced for women leaders' spouses.
According to The Associated Press, 8, a Japanese official who did not want to be named said that the reason why he did not wear the kimono was the "kimono too tight". Wearing it would make people feel uncomfortable when taking pictures.
Another Japanese official said that this year's photo time was sandwiched between appreciation of traditional Japanese Kabuki performances and Prime Minister Naoto Kan's official dinner.
Japanese Foreign Ministry officials also said: "there has never been a rigid requirement that host countries must prepare clothes for leaders of the APEC summit."
But these explanations are not enough to assuage public opinion about Japan's failure to arrange APEC leaders to wear kimono.
Some people think that this is because Japan does not want to "humiliate itself".
Among APEC members, China, Korea, Philippines and many other countries have been invaded by Japan during World War II. The kimono is not only a simple national costume but also a cultural symbol of painful history.
If Japan arranges leaders to wear kimono, the respondent is expected to be numbered, and the Japanese government is obviously unwilling to face such embarrassment, thus breaking the tradition and letting leaders wear at will.
Jeans are very casual. The Indonesian Bogor summit, which was founded in 1994 by the Indonesian President Suharto, was the tradition of the leaders' fashion show. After that, the host country of the APEC conference will prepare the unique national costumes for the leaders according to this Convention. This tradition has continued to this day. In 2001, Chinese Tang costume, 2004 Chilean cowboy Cape, South Korean Hanban in 2005, the Vietnamese silk blouse, the Australian waterproof windbreaker and so on, all left a classic moment at the APEC summit. However, in the past 16 years, there was once an exception, also in Japan. When the Osaka APEC summit was taken together, the leaders wore casual clothes and no uniform dress. At the annual APEC summit, the leaders' family photo is one of the hotspots of national media. In 1993, the first informal meeting of APEC leaders was held in the United States, when President Clinton wore it.
