The 5 cities (States) interviewed by the chief inspector of the national land are Weinan, Shaanxi, Yuncheng, Heilongjiang, Jiamusi, Yunnan, Honghe, Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, respectively. 7 counties (cities and districts) are the provinces of Heilongjiang City, the port area of Heilongjiang City, the Datong County, the Yangming District, the province of Weinan, the Lighthouse of the province, the city of Shandong Province, and the city of Shandong Province.

The national and provincial key projects have an illegal land area of 330 thousand and 400 mu, of which 150 thousand and 200 mu are cultivated land, accounting for 45.05% and 54.72% of the total illegal land area and illegal occupation of cultivated land, respectively.

Illegal farming land is widely distributed.

Only 13 thousand or 51 thousand acres of illegal land were built in rural areas, accounting for 38.83% of the total number of illegal land use and 6.9% of the area.

The data show that compared with the 2008, the number of illegal land use in the 2009 land law enforcement accounted for the total number of new construction sites, and the proportion of illegal occupation of arable land in the total area occupied by new construction land decreased by 3.55 and 2.7 percentage points respectively.

Compared with the 172 cities in the 2008 land law enforcement inspections, the number of illegal land use and illegal occupation of arable land decreased by 18% and 51.57% respectively. The proportion of illegal land occupation in the total number of new construction sites and the proportion of illegal occupation of cultivated land in the total area occupied by new construction land decreased by 4.54 and 6.81 percentage points respectively.
