Textile Exports Rose Sharply At Nantong Port
According to the Nantong inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first 11 months of this year, the export of textiles in Nantong was 518 million US dollars, an increase of 67.10% over the same period last year. The export countries and regions mainly include Southeast Asia, Europe and America and Africa. The varieties include color dyed fabrics and dyeing and printing fabrics, of which 79.92% of the total exports of yarn and fabric are accounted for.

The main reasons are: first, the rigid demand of the main exporting countries and regions in the region is warming up; the two is the price competitive advantage of textiles in the region.
However, with the increase of labor costs, raw material prices and the appreciation of the renminbi, the competitive edge of export prices has gradually weakened.
Therefore, the Nantong inspection and Quarantine Bureau suggests that the relevant export enterprises should speed up product structure adjustment, enhance non price competitiveness, and take the road of branding and differentiation.
