On the same day, the two sides signed 15 agreements and contracts, mainly covering low carbon, wildlife protection, deep-sea oil and gas exploration and development, and financial sector cooperation, xinhuanet reported.
According to Reuters, PetroChina will invest in refining assets of INEOS, a British company, including Granger Merce, a refinery in England and southern France's La La. The daily processing capacity of the two refineries is about 200 thousand barrels, but there is no further disclosure of the specific amount of the paction.
Meanwhile, the British government said the oil giant BP and China National Offshore Oil Corporation signed a deep sea exploration agreement in the South China Sea, but did not disclose details of the agreement.

Li Keqiang arrived in the northern city of Edinburgh on 9 July and began a 4 day official visit to Britain.

Britain is Li Keqiang's last stop in the three European countries, after which he visited Spain and Germany.
On the 9 day, Li Keqiang met with British Minister of Scotland affairs Moore and chief minister Salmond of Scotland government in Edinburgh.
The two sides exchanged views on Developing Sino British exchanges and promoting cooperation between China and Scotland.
