      The connotation of leadership is direction.


    Sometimes we mix the two words of "leadership" and "management". In fact, management and leadership are not the same. But the connotation of leadership, the most brilliant leader, I have worked with many great leaders, whether Bill Gate or apple, Google's past CEO, they really have the charm, is able to point out the direction.


    The atmosphere that can be trusted and trusted by employees is the embodiment of strategic vision and the practice of decentralization. No matter how one thousand or ten thousand people are in charge, three or five people are getting more and more slowly. In the process of growing teams and increasing authority, it is easy to fall into a situation, that is, the habit of bringing management in the past to the management of large teams. When you manage five or ten people, you are a team, and when you manage hundreds of thousands of companies, if you are too delicate to jump in and manage very well, it is a big problem not to give up power.


    As a company leader, the larger the company is, the more free it is to let go. There is a famous saying: "as a company's CEO, leader and chairman, your job is actually very simple. Managing the company is like driving a bus. Your job is to get the right people onto the bus and arrange them to the right seats. Your job is not to open a bus, but to tell them what to do, everyone should do something, give him a good goal and let him do it. To manage the team of one hundred people, to take them like the head of the regiment, to kill them, to manage thousands of teams, is just a cheerleading team. If you manage tens of thousands of teams, you can only try to nurture a culture and bring more people into it, hoping that the machine can run well, hoping that the machine can run well without you one day. If every day is just to do what you should do, then you are just a manager and have not yet reached the level of leadership.


    What is the right leadership? There is a famous article analyzing five kinds of leadership. The first type of leadership is command: I am a general. What I say and what you do is not acceptable if you do not obey. The second is cooperation: we are like a big family. Every employee gets along very well with me, and they trust each other very much. Everyone is willing to do something for each other, just as harmonious as brothers and sisters. The third is democracy: when we vote on anything, the minority is subordinate to the majority, and the leaders vote the same. Not because of leadership, what decisions I have to make are resolved by democratic means. The fourth is the empowerment: as a boss, I give everyone a goal, which is rewarded, more than a lot of rewards, not being punished. The last one is Coaching: as my boss, my job is to cultivate, incubate, and make everyone a potential person, willing to let my employees try some things, of course, sometimes let the staff be alone. When he is not ready, he will also encounter some difficulties and meet some setbacks. As a result, he may get some discount, but this is OK. The company's goals are sometimes damaged, but the employees have grown up to help the company cultivate many future seedlings.


    And what is the best and most aspire of leadership? The first five are not, but to integrate these five kinds of leadership and use appropriate leadership at the right time. Management team 。 Some people may find it strange when they should be commanding generals. Did the fierce leader not just say not to do it? No. in some cases, we still need it. For example, when the company encountered great difficulties, Steve returned to apple, and the company was about to flee. At that time, no democracy was allowed, and employees wanted to have no chance to speak. They expressed their objection. There was no way to do so. They must follow my train of thought. When companies encounter disasters, they should use command type.


    When should we use cooperative type? When your team has been running around for a long time and recognised each other very well. They work together for five or eight years in an old team. They have very high trust in each other. At this time, you should let them run like a family. Of course, they can't do it in an emergency.


    When should democracy be used? When teams know more than leaders do. At this time, if you go to command alone, you will be in trouble. Leaders are not necessarily the most knowledge-based ones. In this case, we must listen more to the opinions of the team.


    "Well done reward, bad punishment" should be very independent, trustworthy, and decentralized in every team member. If they are very young and inexperienced, it will be bad for them to do so. They do not know whether they are good or not. A student who has just graduated from university can make the result in six months, probably not.


    As for coaching type, when your team is young and does not face great risks, it should take some risks. Sometimes the company's growth goals are good for the development of the company. That's the real leadership.


    We are shocked by some leaders in the real society and feel that this person is so charming and so bold that we all have to do this kind of leadership. Actually, everyone has their own character. You should choose one of the most important leadership skills according to your own character. Of course, you can't just use this way, for example, I am very gentle, everything is voted, and when I'm going to vote, it will not work; or you are a very bold person. People around you believe and trust you. Every minute needs to be commanded like a general. That's not enough, because you don't necessarily know the most. These five kinds of leadership must be provided, because in the future development of the company or team, there will be various situations. No leadership can solve all the problems.
